Migael Pretorius, Craig Overton, Jake Ball and Lewis Gregory bowled their hearts out today but were frustrated by some admirably obdurate Glamorgan batting, the rub of the green and some dreadful umpiring. That’s not sour grapes and it’s an opinion widely shared @SomersetCCC

@ErikaMorris79 Any player who pays an agent 12.5% on a value arrived upon at an auction has to look in the mirror!

Absolute bullshit Here is a genuine scenario of an English cricketers #IPL salary breakdown assuming a £ 1mill Contract £528,000 after tax £125,000 (Agent) £50,000 (County). £353,00 is the take home pay after £1mill IPL deal. Bethell’s IPL salary is £202,000. In contrast his Hundred salary is £340,000. Yes he is earning well, but its not the cash cow that is being made out here, likely for ragebait and clicks.

@finderskeepah @ErikaMorris79 Wouldn’t think so given he likely never went in the auction, took 30 balls to get off the square and probably earnt alright out the game as it is.

@ErikaMorris79 At this point, Alistair Cook is just salty on missing an IPL Cheque.

Since the start of last CC season, James Anderson has taken 40 wickets at 20. However, only two of those dismissals (Lees & Bashir) were of batters who had played Tests in the last five years. He's also got Tribe and McKinney, who could both play this summer, but still.

@theanalyst Apart from what is glaringly obvious, what’s the point of this post Simon. If you look closely at this ball, its pitches 6th stump, nips back and hits off. So are you saying we’ll bowled, pointing the finger at Kent, or at Zak….

Zak Crawley bowled for 26 on a pitch where Northants made 682-2 🙁

Wendy and I bought our home in Killara in 1983 for $118,000. She was flying with Ansett, I was at the bank. We saved the deposit in just under two years. The agent reckons it's worth about $3.2 million now but we'd never sell, too many memories. I don't understand why young people say it's impossible. We weren't on big money. We just had discipline 🏡

I’ve been trying to think of 80s and 90s cricketers who missed out on the franchise revolution, but who may have been big money players (if they’d had the chance). So far I’ve got: Sir Viv Richards Sir Curtly Ambrose Courtney Walsh Sir Ian Botham Darren Gough Graham Gooch Robin Smith Kapil Dev Anil Kumble Mohammad Azharuddin Allan Donald Lance Klusener Javed Miandad Saeed Anwar Imran Khan Wasim Akram Waqar Younis Who have I missed out?

Now Reece Topley and David Willey have spoken out against the England management. This is so damning. It's incredible that management kept their positions considering the mistakes made and sheer negligence both on and off the field.

Cranbourne tonight is tough to get inspired about. Just the seven races. Fields of 4, 7, 7, 9, 5, 7, 8. Excellent prizemoney on offer, why are so many avoiding these Cran Friday night meetings?
