For anyone confused like I was, apparently Google chose to put predefined icon styles behind the Create option in Pixel Launcher's icon settings. So it's not really an icon pack, but rather a style hint that then generates icons with AI.

This is fucking funny because there is a difference. AI pictures look all fuzzy when you zoom in and see all the inconsistent details from an AI picture. Art created by humans won't have that.

AI is killing All About Berlin. When you Google something, you used to get a link to my website, but now you get an AI-generated answer trained on my work. This has a devastating impact on traffic.

@WindowsLatest Sim can be spoofed, don't use sms for 2fa ever. Don't use rare proprietary solutions either, as they can break unexpectedly or change when you didn't expect them to. Use normal totp + backups that you control.

Microsoft confirms it's killing SMS codes for personal accounts, and I think this is the right move, but the rollout needs to be flawless. Windows Latest confirmed that Microsoft will phase out SMS for two-factor authentication and account recovery. Instead, users will be pushed toward passkeys, authenticator apps, Windows Hello, device PINs, and verified backup emails. The security reason is obvious: SMS is weak. SIM-swap attacks, interception, and fraud have made text codes a bad fallback for important accounts. If SMS is going away, passkeys need to work reliably everywhere Windows asks you to sign in.

I thought cross-platform builds for my game would be hard but Raylib and C# / dotnet made it easy to build single-file executables for Linux, Mac, and Windows. I now have automated builds on every push with a version bump.

@cherepets It’s very much a work in progress. No interop. Single instance still. I’m updating because the Store said I had to and figured I might as well modernize while I’m at it.

@bacadd @aSteveParker I have different monitors and one I have 6 cols, on other 8. So I can't place icons in a way that would make sense for both of them. (switched to Start11 for now)

@aSteveParker The menu size currently automatically adapts to your screen size/resolution. We will be giving customers the ability to pick which size they want (large or small) if they want to override the automatic resize.

Two Windows devices, (same exact build) two different Start menus. Yay Microsoft!
