My first big girl grad school event! Attended the California Adaptation Forum with @pozzi_tara in Pomona, CA. Also met some internship folks in person from @CaliforniaOST! So thankful to have the opportunity to experience the adaptation space for the first time!

@ErinBorbee YES! I stopped drinking when I realized it was all I had been taught in terms of coping in my high intensity field work days leading up to grad school. I knew if I didn't get sober I would continue to get in bad situations. It's not a funny thing to joke about.

Sat on a panel yesterday for undergrads on grad school and maybe I’m a stick in the mud but I don’t think professors should be joking about or advocating for alcohol as a coping mechanism for the lows of grad school. It’s not funny, and it’s not behavior we should normalize.
