What people responded to in the documentary was not just the words Angie said. It was her demeanour. The hesitation. The discomfort. The careful way she seemed to be talking around his expectations rather than speaking from a place of ease, enthusiasm or equality. That is what viewers picked up on immediately. You cannot 'debunk' that by posting a longer clip of her still trying to navigate his one-way terms. And the longer clip doesn’t help him anyway. It still revolves around his rules, his freedom, his comfort, and whether other women would be too much of a 'headache' for him. That is not some beautiful example of open, mutual, secure love. It is a man centring his own entitlement while the woman next to him appears to be accommodating it as best she can. That is why this defence falls flat. Louis did not need to invent a narrative. He just had to let the dynamic breathe long enough for people to see it. Angie’s face, tone and uncertainty told the story perfectly well. And the fact she left him not long after filming only makes Myron’s victory lap look even more absurd. You cannot edit in that kind of tension. People saw it because it was there. He keeps shouting “context” as though more footage magically transforms the underlying dynamic. It doesn’t. It just gives us more of the same.

Thought the Theroux documentary on the manosphere was good at highlighting how simultaneously monstrous, pathetic, and bizarre these characters are but I do think there are times where his schtick backfire on him particularly during his last interaction with the HS guy

And before anyone says this is stupid to cause a fuss over an emote slot, you’re right. It’s not ABOUT the emote slot. This is one tiny cog in the machine that is Twitch and how us creators really often treated like we are disposable. Do you know how much money 4k subs is?? Tenuous gave that money to Twitch and they can’t even just gimme the damn slot he paid for. It’s the principal. Not the reward.

Twitch is actually breaking my heart and idk what else to do for help. So I’m asking social media to do their thing here. Not for me, but for my community and for the memory of my friend. ‼️LONG POST‼️ In November, I did a full month subathon for my 5 year Partnerversary. During that subathon we SMASHED our all time highest sub count, raising it from 5200 to 6600+. During said subathon, one of my best friends (and moderators), @TenuousLight, personally gifted 900+ subs to ensure we got as many new emote slots as we could before the subs started dropping off. Also happening at that same time, Twitch’s BIG issue of displaying incorrect sub counts in their dashboards. This also went on for WEEKS and it started happening a few days after I started my subathon. Due to knowing the sub counts were showing as incorrect, but the API still pulling the correct sub counts, I started downloading the sub count CSV files every time we crossed a new threshold for a new emote. I knew I would need records of reaching these goals if the automated emote unlocking system didn’t unlock an emote even if we passed the threshold. Of course, my subathon ended and the sub counts were still broken. My 6600 sub point emote slot remained locked because their system was inaccurate, showing nearly 90 less subs than I actually had. I filed a support ticket with Partner @TwitchSupport and was met with AI responses about all kinds of stuff, and it never answered my questions. This went on for weeks. January 4th, my community and I learned that Tenuous passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on NYE. We’ve been devastated by this news and grieving for two straight months now. What makes it even worse is knowing his last huge support to me is not being acknowledged by Twitch. So I started filing for support help again. I was met with more AI responses and bullshit. Telling me how to get Plus Program (which I have) and how to use Twitch Alerts for more emote slots (already do). I started just all caps screaming in the replies. Crying and losing sleep over this shitstorm of a situation. Then 2 days ago, a human finally replies?! They proceed to tell me that not only can they NOT manually unlock emotes because the system is “fully automated” but that even if they could, they don’t have the data from that far back (and they used the wrong date and said April when it was November??) or it would take too many resources to find - implying that me and my issue are not worth their time. I explain that I have the CSV files from all my sub goals that month. They reply saying they cannot even use them. They tell me their own files that they provide to us are useless to their own engineering team. Which I find incredibly hard to believe. So I then ask FIRMLY, why they can’t escalate this and do anything to help me? Tenuous literally had given over 4k subs in my channel alone, all he did was support streamers and give their platform money. They don’t care, they just tell me they can’t help me anymore and close my case. I’m so sick of this shit. I shouldn’t have had to fight for weeks to talk to a REAL PERSON as a Twitch Partner, and then they basically tell me that me and my dead best friend’s money are not worth their time. Like, is this really how we wanna treat the people keeping the platform afloat? Absolutely egregious. DO FUCKING BETTER @Twitch
