@Icky427 @masabarus660 yes, this is the same exact S660. this happened last year right at the end of July. apparently the track's newly-installed "Al-powered" automatic warning system didn't sense the initial pile-up, therefore the owner (Pavel) driving at that time wasn't aware until it was too late.

@steubens7 @hawkun i have not unfortunately, but looking at it it now reminds me of No Second Prize for amiga & atari st, which totally fits the low-resolution flat-shaded aesthetic. the pre-cel-shaded style gradients on cyberbykes is definitely a nostalgic aesthetic of itself though haha

@exquizitely @FunkyRustic i’m old enough that i’ll forever associate EA for their contributions towards amiga artists w/their excellent productivity tools like deluxepaint & deluxe music construction set… but more importantly, actively promoting one of the very first successful media file standards: IFF

🕹️ Bullfrog gave us such brilliant games such as Populous, Theme Park and Syndicate. 🕹️ Origin Systems gave created the legendary Ultima and Wing Commander series. 🕹️ Westwood Studios revolutionized RTS games with Dune II and Command & Conquer. 🕹️ Maxis was the powerhouse behind the "Sim" games. All acquired by Electronic Arts between the years of 1992 to 1998 - and all closed down. All four were a big loss, but the one I miss the most is Westwood Studios. Acquired in 1998 for a relatively small amount (US$ 123 million) and then shut down less than 5 years later. Electronic Arts was also a great developer/publisher in the 80s, so how they could go from that to total monster will always a be a bit of a mystery to me, especially when you read about their mission statement and values from their early days.

@akllnya そうですね、あのコマーシャルは歴史的な観点から見るとかなり面白いですね… 当時は幼すぎてその示唆的なテーマを理解できなったw 当時は、お父さんが買ったのと同じシリーズのパソコンだというのがただカッコイイと思っただけでした😂
