@christuphuh @BobbySkinner_ OL yes but you don’t wanna lock up a G into a multi year deal when Quentin Nelson and other really good G’s are FA’s next year. Baring the Lawrence trade request, they probably saw someone in the draft that can compliment him and would’ve rather gone that route instead

@chiiildish @BobbySkinner_ I disagree, there were missed chances on OL/DL imo. But my point is that they have a chance to spend here to keep an elite homegrown talent. Reworking his deal could open up money this year and still be fine next year and beyond.

Trading instead of paying 28 year old Dexter Lawrence who had 3 straight years of being a top 2 player at his pisition and then a down year of still a really good player would be stupid. Especially when he was coming off an injury and the team essentially gave him training camp off.

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday. Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

In @art_stapleton mock draft here, he has the Giants and Rams making a trade. The Rams get No. 5; they select Carnell Tate. The Giants get No. 13, No. 61 (2nd), No. 93 (3rd) and a 2027 2nd round pick, and still land Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. This would be a fantastic haul for the Giants to land that and still get Caleb Downs.

@postcrabcore @Nick5p1a I’ve noticed it since I was 10 when Odell was in NY and that says something. Even today it’s a trend that continues and people are oblivious to it. I’m not a Yankee fan but it’s so fucking obvious that they expect players to act a certain way and they carry it across sports
