Today, we were very fortunate to have a visit from Jess Hughes, a maths specialist from @ChilderThornton who came to teach some maths to Year 3 and Year 5, whilst giving our staff lots of ideas on how maths can be taught in a creative and challenging way. Thank you so much!

We are really excited to share that we’ve made a significant step forward this week, to opening a brand new safe haven, the ShareShac (SHARE Homeless Action Centre), right here in Chester and part funded by your purchases at Chester’s ShareShop. This dedicated safe space will be a sanctuary for people who are homeless or in the process of being resettled, where our team, alongside other support agencies, will be able to provide the care and assistance they need. Very pleased and proud that in September I will be taking on the role of assistant head at my lovely school. After a decade of teaching it definitely feels the right time for a new challenge, and I will still be class-based teaching a brilliant Year 6 class. Exciting times.
