Impossible Expectations. Our space runs on Impossible Expectations. The pace with which {The Market} hopes and expects projects to move at, is impossible for any legit project to move at. The goal posts are constantly shifting. It is impossible to know what people want; most of the time, most people don't even know what they truly want. Projects live and die by their floor price. Many say "floor price doesn't matter", but let's be real: for 99% of projects it absolutely does. Sometimes founders fall into the trap of trying to do things specifically to pump their floor price. This can sometimes work in the short term; rarely does it work in the long term. So then founders do the "right" thing, and focus on building the project out. Delivering on their roadmap. Securing partnerships and collabs. Building products. Hosting events. Airdrops. Then they announce these things, and, most of the time, especially lately, the floor price doesn't move a whole lot (or, it goes down). Don't feel bad if you feel like you're not doing enough for your project because the floor price isn't doing as well as another project, or as well as you or your community wants it to. A LOT of this is out of your control. If you're giving it a half-assed effort and have one foot out the door and are stringing your community along with lazy announcements to keep the hope alive, then yes, you should feel bad. Please don't do that. Be better. But if you're turning up all day every day giving it your all, and doing everything you said you would do, well, don't be too hard on yourself if the market isn't shining on your project today. Maybe it will tomorrow; maybe it never will. Just know that you're up against Impossible Expectations, and that even if the market shines on your project tomorrow, the day after you'll have a whole host of new buyers that aped in at pumped up prices because the market went crazy and have their own set of Impossible Expectations they're hoping you can meet. I understand that we as a space should have HIGH expectations. That's fine, that's great. Let's shoot for the stars and land on the moon, etc. But let's remember that we still live in a real world and projects are run be real humans and we're all citizens of real nations that have real laws and regulations and that, much as we wish we could, we cannot wave a magic wand and manifest whatever hot new craze the market wants. Good things take time. Great things take even more time. The best things can take a lifetime. (originally posted a version of this in April '22 -- still seems applicable)

I attended my first IRL event a bit over a year ago, MET-AMS in Amsterdam. It was an absolutely magical experience. The energy at IRL events is simply infectious and I immediately got home and was like "...we need to do more of this for ZA!" We spun up a few different initiatives within the Discord and tries to encourage members to meet-up worldwide and we had some great events, but it wasn't until a few months ago when we partnered with @littleatlas_xyz that things really popped off. It's a dream to see our community get together all around the world, and I know it's just the beginning too.
