Zcash isn't "run" by a single company. Multiple orgs (ECC, ZF, Shielded Labs, FPF, QEDIT, etc.) contribute, while a lockbox + coinholder voting is used to distribute funds to these orgs.
The recent ECC–Bootstrap dispute over governance/Zashi is noisy, but the protocol and broader ecosystem keep moving, expect volatility, not existential risk.

I’ve been building a zcash wallet inside @infinex with the webzjs library for like a week now. I’ve “known” zcash was impressive for years, but actually interacting with the tech it’s pretty fucking obvious this thing should be a top five asset.

This guy built a career telling young men to get a safe middle management job for $90K/yr salary and put it in CDs so that at 75 you can retire and enjoy life.

i have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a lamborghini.
