@casglb ROAS on its own is a vanity metric. A brand doing 4x ROAS can still be losing money, and another doing 1.8–2.2x can be printing cash depending on LTV and margins. Should be focusing on CM and blended CAC. The fee structure is steep and them also including brand search (red flag)

Paying a Google Ads agency $6k/month + 10% of spend. 3 months in. ROAS 2.4. Other founders are telling me I’m getting cooked. Need real DTC operators to weigh in 👇 We hired an agency 3 months ago. The deal: $6k/month retainer until we hit $60k in spend, then 10% of ad spend after that. Month 1 and 2 came in under our target ROAS of 2.5 Month 3 we hit 2.44 and NCR 1.88 on $23,453 spend, but we’re still paying the full $6k retainer. Other DTC founders are telling me two things: First, we should be hitting ROAS 3 to 4 minimum. Second, brand search needs to be excluded from the reporting, because right now the agency is showing a lifetime ROAS that includes brand traffic and makes the numbers look better than they are. So I’m stuck between three options: Cut them, keep going and wait, or bring it fully in-house. What would you actually do? Wich good known Google expert tell’s me the truth. Appreciated.

@craigtyr Hey mate, yeah trying that atm but with no luck so far. I have a verified account also. Sent off to the internal team but they said it could take up to several weeks. Apparently they have no contact to the internal team etc. Never had this happen before

@chr1s__b Have you tried live chat using your Instagram? Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I paid for meta verified on my IG so I could get access to live chat and my Facebook was back in 24 hours

@ecom_jad 100% were already using it and the quality is insane already. A fraction of the time and costs. Definitely a time and a place for it and shouldn’t be used exclusively.

@chr1s__b It won't even be the next couple of years. At the rate things are going, this year will probably have that level of quality, and from there it's all about how fast people catch on. Ecom is def one of the spaces where people will catch on the fastest.

I bet that AI will replace majority of ecom product photoshoots with the next few years. Model agencies will try to stop brands creating AI content. All you’ll need is 1–2 flatlays, 1 model image and you can create hundreds of variations. And for a fraction of the price.
