@mclduk This makes sense and is what I intuitively thought it might be. When using Mel spaced magnitude is there a reason/benefit to limit the GCC lag axis to between +\- number of Mel bins? Maybe so the input isn’t biased towards a greater number of GCC values.

Audio/DSP/ML people. If you take the GCC-PHAT of an STFT frame by frame….what are the resultant histograms/values representing? #phdchat #MachineLearning
