@chris_pothecary None mate. We were on a downward spiral financially before the war. Vote for more of the same, vote for Labor. I hope you own your own home and have solar power and a home battery or you're in for big pain.

Chalmers is blaming this latest rate rise on the war in Iran rather than take responsibility for his mismanagement of the economy. Him and Albo brag they are concentrating on the cost of living for us Aussies. I'd say it's more like meditation at this point in time.

Kangaroo Court of Australia - Shane Dowling
Treasurer Jim Chalmers says, “The Australian economy is getting absolutely pummelled because of the Iran war and Australians are paying the price for that”. But he fails to mention his government supports the war. #auspol

@mattjcan In the last few weeks, the US Fed, the ECB, RBNZ, Banks of England and Canada have all passed on hiking even with the oil shock impacting inflation in much the same way as in Australia

Interest rates have gone up again because the Labor government has not controlled government spending and they have no growth plan for the Australian economy. Australia had the highest inflation in the developed world BEFORE the Iran conflict.

Bye bye full employment! The RBA hikes rates to stymie growth & to get inflation back to target. The RBA reckons that the oil effect on inflation can be offset by pole axing the non-oil parts of the economy such that inflation eases to 2.5%. With the oil price set in global markets, interest rates seem an odd tool to use to overcome inflation in Australia without too much damage to the business sector & the labour market. youtube.com/watch?v=RLhpbp…

🗣 "That's a bit of an unfair question, Gaz..." 🤔 "It's fair to judge you pretty harshly … they had 27 players available!" West Coast coach Andrew McQualter defends his side and his own coaching after their disappointing loss to an injury-ravaged & winless Richmond. #AFL360

If they limit the cgt discount and negative gearing to new builds only and get it through parliament in my view it will be the best government policy since Howard and the gst. Encourage investors adding new supply Tax investors that buy existing housing stock.

ASX 200 down five sessions straight while Wall Street keeps hitting record highs. The disconnect is hard to ignore. Strait of Hormuz closure plus a sticky inflation print tomorrow…. Could US markets come crashing down next? $ASX #ausbiz

@lozza929406 The biggest problem we’ve had over the last few years is absolutely no depth in our squad, nobody in the wafl is pushing for a game , and it shows with laziness in the eagles team , they know there be playing next week .

The masses haven’t clicked on yet. Take a look at WA. WA households spent nearly $9.3 billion in February. The biggest jump in spending in dollar terms. #ausbiz
