Offside confirmed. Are they saying Darlow was impeded by the offside man for the first cross? Regardless, it stays 0-0.

Fantastic piece on many of the limitations of test characteristics for determining post-test probability (which are well-known, and I rant about frequently with my poor residents)
Samuel Weisenthal@samweisenthal
Medicine is swimming in pre-test probability scores (eg Wells’). These scores + constant sens/spec assumption (see Dawid 1976, Moons and Harrell 2003, Guggenmoos 2000) = Information Mismatch See preprint for details: arxiv.org/pdf/2503.15382

Following the College’s Council meeting this morning we are pleased to announce that Dr Ian Higginson @RCEM_VP has been appointed as the next President of RCEM.
For now he is President Elect, and will officially take over from Dr Adrian Boyle @RCEMpresident after our AGM in the autumn.
Huge Congratulations Higgi from all at the College! 🎉

Hi @goldstone_tony Just going through my remedial statement. I know how important going back to 2010/11 is for carry forward…so is there a reason the HMRC remedy calculator only lets you enter figures from 15/16?
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick and you won’t lose out?

“There is no need to change the STEMI-NSTEMI paradigm. I never see false negatives.”
We published the article “The no false negative paradox in STEMI-NSTEMI diagnosis” in Heart (BMJ), and I’ll explain this paradox with a story: José de Alencar sees a patient with angina. 🧵

Some personal news: It is with a heavy heart that I announce I am leaving the United Kingdom. Starmer's dark Satanic Mills are not for me. But I will be back. For now, it is time to regroup. I will not cease from mental fight, nor shall my sword sleep in my hand.

@OmazeUK @TonyFlavin0 But by definition the early bird prizes will have been drawn by halfway through the draw’s life (which is what the email shows) and before the 60 entries go in???
English

@chrisbiggin @TonyFlavin0 Hiya, the number of entries you'll receive for each early bird remains the same as it has been historically, so you'll have the same chance to win as you would in the old rules
