@itskyleconner Looks exciting! But so does EX60 and new iX3. That said, as a Gravity owner since November, it's nice to see all these announcements of amazing new EVs and not feel like I'm missing out on anything, and all I have to do is not think about the 2x cost 😅

I’m hoping Lucid can get the software dialed, purchase and service experience expanded, and a fast rollout of point to point autonomy. Overall I hope this brings you up to speed on the Lucid Cosmos! I wish I could show it to you but that will come in the near future. Lucid knew what they needed to do - compete directly with some of the best engineered, efficient, and high volume EVs on the market and so far, it looks like they nailed it. My impression, this is a car we haven’t really talked about much… that’s all about to change ⚡️

This morning I was able to be the first person outside of Lucid to see and sit inside the new @LucidMotors Cosmos! This is their new midsize electric SUV and no, I can’t show it to you yet. What I can say is that the design is sharp, super cool, and totally unique (especially in the rear end). A cab forward design enables a long tail for optimal aero efficiency but it still retains enough roof height for larger dogs. Lighting signatures are strong, bright, and sharp. The car I saw had a metallic red paint with a white interior, which honestly looked striking! Think younger, more modern, really cool looking small Gravity. It has an insanely large front truck, huge rear cargo space with massive underfloor storage (enabled partly by the new Atlas drive unit), and more than ample second row seating space. I’m 6’1 and my head didn’t touch the expansive glass roof that extends beyond the rear seats, it’s also super wide giving a great airy feeling. Rear floor felt slightly high but there’s still enough room to fit feet underneath the front seat to unlock your leg angle. I also spent considerable time in the front seat soaking in the view. Huge door opening with a low entry height and a ton of foot room to swing in. Materials looked beautiful in the light interior color with recycled fibers that almost felt like wool. Stitching is everywhere, glass center console cover, dark headliner… it was a high quality warm feeling environment. The A Pillar glass extends extremely far forward which enables incredible view of front blind spots. In addition there’s physical turn signal stalks & gear selector and the same / similar steering wheel out of the Gravity… which looks upside down but feels great in the hands. Oh, bottom hinged accelerator pedal!! 🙏 There’s a single pane wide screen floating above the dash that expands across the width of the car. It’s a unique view that doesn’t exist in the western world and I liked the simplicity and location. User interface should look similar to Gravity which is totally fine… if it works. No secondary screen, everything is done through that singular cross-car panel. Electrical architecture is nearly completely new with centralized compute, insanely cool central gateway mounting location on the firewall, all designed to reduce wiring length / cost / connections. ADAS will likely be using the NVIDIA system for point-to-point L2 capability and they need to get this enabled ASAP as FSD is such a huge selling point for Tesla. Also, huge targets for quick response to phone key / NFC etc… this car can’t have access control problems or major software bugs. Don’t know exact battery capacity or power output BUT I have some tidbits to share. ~800V system architecture, PM rear motor, induction front motor. Both are from insanely small Atlas drive unit family which I’ll have a full video coming on sometime in the future. Unsure how Lucid is doing 400V boosting, but they’ll be able to charge on Superchargers with no problem. NACS charge port in the rear driver corner. Charging sounds very fast which is badly needed in this segment. Body in white has some amazing trickery leveraging passageways for woofer / sub woofer air flow, crash structure designed to be easily replaceable in stages to lower insurance costs, and a mixed material compound to reduce cost. Suspension also is pretty advanced for this segment, adaptive damper, virtual ball axis on the lower control arm (fixed on upper), which should give great driver / steering feel compared to the many McPherson strut options others offer. Oh, there are some big castings on this thing but the front / rear aren’t just one giant casting. We’ll talk to Cory Steuben more about that in an upcoming podcast. Finally this should start at under $50k and feature everything EV drivers want: fast charging, pet mode, route planning, plug and charge, space, comfort, and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

@suckmadick814 @LucidMotors I've heard this is an Apple requirement--to put CarPlay on the highest operable screen--but that could have just been a Lucid apologist. Would be nice to have the flexibility to put in either place.

@edmunds So, I wish it had electrochroamatic glass as much as the next person--I think sunshades are a lame solution. But I can't believe y'all are sharing this clip using the sunshades wrong and saying Lucid wants you to use the sun visor to hold it up! Seems sleazy 🤔

@edmunds This really feels like engagement bait. I read in their review that it had poor interior quality, so I'm surprised to see these were their issues.

@ChadMoran It is a bummer to lose the space since permanent storage cubbies are always nice to have, but on balance I'd rather have the low loading and step-in height of the Gravity. Or have them be optionally removable like in the ID. Buzz! :)

I'm kind of surprised the Lucid Gravity's third row takes up the sub trunk space if you want the rear completely flat. I can do this in my R1S and still have access to the sub trunk. I guess it's lower overall? I'd rather have sub trunk space.

@LeoW877 @SawyerMerritt I have a Gravity on order, so in theory I should agree, but my wife just got the ID Buzz, and I can’t lie—I’ve genuinely thought about cancelling my Gravity and getting a second bus! It’s that good. Plus, it’s clearly the real coolest EV 😎

Rivian lost $19,300 for every vehicle that they delivered in Q2 2025 (vs -$32,704 in Q2 2024).

@vinbro @Lucid @LucidMotors I was supposed to get mine in October, but just changed my build to one that will put me further back in line, partially in hopes that early issues like this will be someone else’s headache. But I’m worried it’ll be a long time before the bugs are out :/

I love Lucid. I bought a Lucid Gravity sight unseen - I think it was the second delivered in LA. Tonight it bricked with me and my family in tow. Completely unacceptable. @lucid @lucidOTAir @LucidMotors

@ShaneLindblom Good to know the cause, but interesting to know. My AC compressor in my ICE Volvo recently died and I had to drive around with no AC for about a month waiting for service, but at least I *could* drive. Never considered that in an EV, no AC means no driving 😬

@ShaneLindblom Sheesh. Your car really has had a huge number of issues that would make me switch. Ironically I’m eagerly awaiting a Gravity. Hope I have better reliability than you have 😬

@siculusvt @TesCalendar1 True, though I think the Gravity would absolutely dominate the Silverado in any roadtrip over 6 hours because of how fast it adds range back even at Tesla superchargers. But then again, it’s almost twice the price of a specced up Gravity, so…

@TesCalendar1 I’m torn between a Silverado EV and a lucid gravity. I don’t own a truck nor have I ever, so I’d probably lean towards the gravity. I have a ton of uses for the minivan. Both of them get amazing range too.

Serious question friends - if you were going to buy an EV that was NOT a Tesla, what would you buy? There are so many amazing electric vehicle options out there now, I’m curious to hear what your favorites are!

@ntwork @ShaneLindblom I haven't seen any examples of standard ambient lighting. Do any light strips get removed? Can they dim with cabin lighting? What's the color temperature look like since presumably they won't offer different colors? Thanks!

I’m really sorry for the frustration this has caused. Because of a limited supply of HUD hardware, we made the decision to separate the power outlets from the HUD, so customers could still get vehicles with power outlets even if the HUD wasn’t available. Just to clarify, all Lucid Gravity Grand Touring vehicles come standard with Ambient Lighting. However, Dynamic Ambient Lighting is tied to the HUD wiring, so for now, we can’t offer that feature without the HUD. The good news is that this is just a temporary supply issue. Once we work through it, the HUD will be added back to the Grand Touring options list.

@RichieSimpsons @_DM_1979 I can never tell if these kinds of comments are just resentful of the high cost, or if it’s just the practical design that doesn’t connect with people. It’s not the best looking, but I’ll be inside it. You’re the one who’s gonna have to look at it :P 😅

@SiRSONlC @bilboofshire Oops. Someone shoulda told me before I ordered… (though to be fair and honest, I agonized for months between this car and EX90, all because I thought Gravity was ugly. BUT turns out it looks really nice in white, so problem solved!).

@ShaneLindblom I’ll be honest—your ownership has given me some serious anxiety over my Gravity order. On the one hand, Lucid has reportedly really improved reliability and build quality in MY 2025. But on the other, Gravity is a brand new model. Let’s just say I worry seeing your issues 😅😬

@zacgormania Eastern section in your local art museum, or Jim Kay’s work (specifically his art for A Monster Calls). Or if you want to take a trip to Europe, seeing DaVinci’s work in person always amazes me. Lol except ironically for his most famous one.

@sagehyden Aw its sad you skipped S1. It’s 100% a chore, but the payoff is actually quite good, and it enriches Tennant’s seasons with a great foundation. That said, don’t be overly tempted to continue on post-Tennant.
