@0ldoini This is totally unacceptable behaviour… BUT… why are we just mad at the bride?! There were two people getting married there, why aren’t we equally unhappy with both of them? Even if only corresponding with the bride, that’s presumably on behalf of both of the couple?

Corfu Town has the same population as Ramsgate (c.40k) but feels like a bustling European city rather than a provincial town. In a poorer country than the UK, it has many times the shops, cafes, restaurants, businesses generally. Why is this?

@gabyhinsliff @nosylocaljourno @hannahfearn The justification for our 9% increase in April was the increase in living wage… they’ve also cited the increase cost of groceries too (ours provides everything, incl. nappies so even with switching to own brands & then economy brands, this has become much more expensive)

@nosylocaljourno @hannahfearn absolutely - finances of many preschools are in a really dire state & have been for years. Nobody's making a fast buck here. But hearing lots of big rises this year & curious about tipping points - energy costs obv a big one with children

#Margate Station has been welcoming customers since 1926. The Booking Hall was updated to its original splendour last year and it’s wonderful to see the café has now been redone to match.
