Friends, I have a story of doors, harmony, and heartbreak. In my spare time, I take pictures of doors and buildings around Philadelphia. One of my favorite themes are "doormates"—pairings of doors that work together as a unit.

@sladner @jmspool @peterme If someone interviews with several companies, each of which had several interviewers meet the candidate, and all of whom also went through similar interview processes with many other reviewers over their careers, seems to me like a broad community review.

@sladner @jmspool @peterme Today, the “body” of other designers who can re-legitimize a fired designer is literally the whole industry. When a fired designer is re-hired by a new boss, they have de facto met that new manager/company’s “designer” criteria. Is this bad?
