Even if it hits his hand, there’s at least 2 rules that make it no a penalty 😂

@Rfc1872I Thats exactly it. Trusty is bumped into him forcing his hands up. It was hitting his head, the hand got knocked it the way of the ball. The whole footballing world can see it’s not a penalty. All but one deluded support.

It’s not a penalty and the world knows it. There’s no debate to be had. It’s a header. The ref and VAR have, and not for the first time this season, had a major say in the outcome of a game. The world of football is laughing at us. As for the pictures that ‘conclusively show it struck the hand?’ Give me a break ffs. The pics circling, from the side where the hand is raised, will always look as if it struck the hand. It didn’t. I’ve attached pics, as an example, of how a picture can trick you into seeing something you want to see. So the pics circling can go in the bin. The issue here is Beaton and Dallas and how they gave a penalty decision from one view of the incident. It’s scandalous. Scottish football needs to unite and tell TEMU VAR to GTF.

I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people. But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate. What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation. You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.

The refs verdicts are in: “Bobby Madden, was that a penalty?”. “No”. “Steve Conroy, was that a penalty?”. “No”. Both damning on the decision, calling for an explanation from the SFA. Their verdicts, not mine.

First rebuttal - 'It didn't hit his hand.' Answer - It did. Now the reaction will be about the hand position, did Trusty push his arm up, is there ENOUGH contact, and on, and on it goes. VAR should be scrapped, but this is far from the 'horrendous' decision it's built as.

Willie Collum then gave guidance to referees this should not have been given because it was a challenge for the ball in a natural playing manner.
