A senior UK civil servant retiring at age 61 can expect an estimated annual pension of roughly £45,000 to £80,000, assuming a full career. Their pension pot represents an implied lifetime value ("defined benefit pot") of £1.2 million to £2.2 million.
But a normal retiree will have to wait until 67 to get the state pension assuming they have paid-in sufficiently. People who have arguably added vastly more value to the nation (than a civil servant) can expect £241 a week.

i built things, broke things (a lot), shipped some crazy fun stuff and spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about agents and/in/or sandboxes
