A few words about the false narrative that Canada is homophobic, or transphobic or whatever-phobic. Bring on the hate!

Wanting classy before trashy keeps me perpetually single. Gay culture and the gay men who embrace it are void of class. Having any class is antithetical to gay culture. It literally hinges on sex, demanding your sexuality be your defining characteristic. Being a man in the streets, a homo whore in the sheets? That seems too much to ask.

Two Pilots Are Dead—And Canada Is Arguing About Language Optics Two pilots are dead. That should be the story. The focus should be on what happened, how it happened, and how we make sure it never happens again. Instead, in Canada, the conversation shifts almost instantly to optics. Not safety. Not accountability. Not systems. Language. A CEO delivers condolences… and the national reaction isn’t about leadership or tragedy it’s about whether it was said in both official languages. Summoned. Criticized. Politicized. That’s where we are. At a time when Canadians are dealing with rising costs, declining opportunity, and real structural problems across the country, the energy of our institutions gets directed toward symbolic debates that change nothing. It’s hard not to notice the pattern. Real issues get a press release. Optics get a hearing. And the gap between what matters and what’s discussed keeps growing. I was born in Canada. Built my life here. Built businesses here. It used to feel like a serious country focused on outcomes, not appearances. Now it feels like we’re managing perception instead of reality. And honestly? It’s getting embarrassing. Because when something tragic happens and the national response is to argue about optics instead of substance, it tells you everything about where priorities really are. Two pilots are dead. And somehow, that’s not the main conversation.

@rich_toronto @AirCanada A plane crashed. Two people died. The airline CEO spoke only in English. One of these things is very much not like the others.

This is the video that earned @AirCanada CEO a summons to Ottawa because it wasn’t done in French. As the organization is scrambling to support the injured and the families of those injured and killed, politicians and members of the Canadian public want to nitpick on what language was or wasn’t spoken. The video has both English and French subtitles. In times of an emergency, that should have been more than adequate, not to mention it gets the information out faster if they don’t have to double the length of the video to repeat everything in two languages. Not every single thing has to be exactly equal all the time. Those who think it does are destroying our society.

It's astonishing how simple people are. This was a public condolence to an international audience. Pretty sure the family of the pilots will be receiving more nuanced and private messages, likely in their preferred language. A plane crashed. Two people died. The CEO spoke in English to an international audience. Once of these things is not like the others. Canadians are embarrassing themselves, with pride it seems.
penny collenette 🇨🇦@penottawa

I guess people don’t understand that the co pilot was Antoine Forest from Québec. Sympathy should have been respectfully adressed in his language. #cdnpoli

It's a non-issue that only losers would make an issue. Canada is a country of idiots, and our leaders know this. So they make stupid things issues, so stupid people focus on those, instead of real issues. A plane crashed. People died. The CEO of the airline spoke only in English to an international audience. One of these things is very much not like the others!
Ted Bird 🇮🇱@manofbird

Here’s the deal, hosers. The pushback on the unilingual English statement from Air Canada might seem petty to you, but it cuts deep in Quebec. It’s lazy, tone deaf and disrespectful to Antoine Forest’s family and friends, and it was avoidable. THAT is what diminishes the tragedy.

Bloc Leader Blanchet is calling on the Carney Liberals to pressure the Air Canada board to fire CEO Michael Rousseau. The reason: an English only response after the LaGuardia crash. Of everything happening in Canada and Quebec right now… this is the priority?
The Real Mr Bench@therealmrbench

"Lack of Judgement Lack of compassion Disappointed" Those are terms Mark Carney used to describe Air Canada CEO. Reason: only giving a statement in English after the LaGuardia Airport plane crash

Agreed. But for Pierre to avoid discussing the mandates and the illegal invocation of the Emergencies Act was unforgivable. Joe mentioned that he was not going to Canada because of what the government did during the protest, and Pierre said nothing, actually says everything… @PierrePoilievre stop avoiding the issue. Hold the government to account, as you clearly stated it is the role of the “Official Opposition” to do.

Here are some reasons why the CPC continues to flounder: -Poilievre is doing now, (appearing on Joe Rogan, and travelling to the U.S. and elsewhere) what he should’ve done a year and a half ago. In politics, timing is everything, and that window has closed. Voters have moved on, so it doesn’t matter how good the message is now; it’s no longer landing. You can just tell how tepid the reaction has been about his appearance on Rogan from even CPC supporters. It was supposed to have broken the internet but it's barely registered. -The public doesn’t see the world the way CPC partisans do. They know U.S. tariffs have hurt the economy, and they don’t blame Canada for it. -Nor do they see this as some grand Canadian failure. If anything, they think Canada is making a good-faith effort to manage difficult relationships, whether with the U.S. or any other country. -Nor do they buy Polievre's simplistic solutions to everything, like digging up a piece of ground, extracting oil, and exporting it to the world. And, if you’re surprised by any of this, you’ve probably been living in an echo chamber where everything is a grand conspiracy. The way out isn’t doubling down or mocking voters but recognizing where they actually are. Until the CPC does that, it will keep inflicting damage on its own brand, and continue to be in opposition for a very long time.
DrJ@DrJ_surgeon

It actually defies belief. The more reasonable Poilievre sounds, the less Carney accomplishes, the more time he spends out of the country, the longer we go without any meaningful engagement with our most important trading partner and the more our economy tanks and our young people suffer - the more popular Carney becomes! Oh Canada!🇨🇦

@PierrePoilievre squatted at Stornaway billing taxpayers for his lifestyle while he had no democratically elected role in the country. He's the quintessential freeloading politician. He's never had a real job. He's never accomplished a thing for the country. His own constiuents fired him and the country rejected him to lead it. The CPC and it's leader have become a political joke in Canada. The only thing the CPC has accomplished in the last year is shoring up the Liberal government's power. But hey, let's applaud @PierrePoilievre for that accomplishment and clap because he did Joe Rogan when it doesn't matter and only his sycophants are listening.

Yes, let's applaud him. He appeared a year late, when it doesn't matter. Go @PierrePoilievre. That's real leadership. Fools! Applauding Pierre doing Joe Rogan now, when it doesn't matter is like calling the fire department after the house has burnt to the ground. Only losers would call this a win!

Poilievre knocked the ball out of the park on The Joe Rogan Experience. They referenced the legendary "apple video" and we have it for you right here:

Celebrating his severely belated Joe Rogan appearance simply proves that regardless of political affiliation, the bulk of Canadians lack critical thinking. He had nothing of any value to say about anything. It was pathetic. It will have no effect on polls. By the time an election rolls around, this interview will be in the dustbin along with all that Pierre has accomplished - nothing. I question if all those applauding him are functionally retarded. Seriously.

It started at "THIS IS WHAT REAL LEADERSHIP LOOKS LIKE," and persisted throughout. That's real leadership in your estimation? This so called "real leadership" seems like the same old tepid, milquetoast, scripted, feckless rhetoric we've all come to expect. Post national, multicultural, "we're all just friendly Canadians up here" Bullshit. It's not real, man. It's all kayfabe, and it's never been more evident. These are public servants. We need to scrutinize them, not worship them. Our people are suffering. Only conservative members can efficaciously criticize their leader. There's an eco system of "influencers" on X, culture war grifting, and perpetuating the uniparty in Canada. All they offer is exhaltations of career swamp creature Pierre Poilievre. I mean nothing personal, nor do I mean to offend. Though I view your content the same way I view the Rachel Gilmores, Gatorgum, and all the culture war grifting red team "influencers." Merely the ideological antithesis. We must endeavor to see past this right vs left slave dialectic or we lose. Regardless, Good luck and God bless.

Do point out where I didn’t tell the truth? See the thing is, I’m sharing MY opinion! I’m not a journalist, I’m not paid influencer, just a guy stating what’s on my mind and for that I’ve gained followers I don’t care if you disagree, but if my opinion is slop I don’t get why you’d follow me then. And to that, if I disagree with your post then all you post is slop then? Or do we just have a different opinion ? Isn’t that what 𝕏 is for?? I don’t put my face on here, I’m not looking for internet clout or internet fame and that’s clear by my anonymity . Has this been really interesting as my page has grown, absolutely! I’ve interacted regularly with some really down to earth people!

It's good that he did it? Wish he had done it sooner? How sadly Canadian. He's late to the game - as he always his - and this will do nothing to sway voters in Canada to support him. Also, we're not on the eve of an election. Canadians in general are not listening to Pierre anymore. He's washed up and irrelevant.

Canada isn't going to become more conservative by tricking liberal into voting conservative. Conservatives need to get out there and share their opinions. It's the fact that conservatives are so easy to shy away and hide that liberals own the culture in Canada. Pierre going on these podcasts and openly discussing conservative ideas is the right thing to do and the way to shift the culture to the right. It's good that he did it. Wish he had done it earlier.

Did Pierre miss a flight to do this a year ago - when it mattered? @PierrePoilievre is proof that Canada loves mediocrity. He's made a career of being late to the game. He's celebrating with a belated media circuit. Only his fans are tuning in. This will do nothing good for the CPC brand in Canada. Well done, Pierre!

If my critique of @PierrePoilievre leads you to conclude I hate Canada, we have no common ground to engage on. The love I have for my country comes with a complicit requirement that I "stand on guard for thee". As such, like I did my father, and his father before him - first generation Canadian - I will stand and speak freely and honestly in the face of failure - Pierre has only proven failure. Your ignorance is astonishing. That is the kindest response I can offer. I ask: Why do you choose to be so ignorant?

When it's after the fact, a good talk is nice. It's typically called a Eulogy. When it's nearly a year after the death - aka the election @PierrePoilievre lost twofold - it's pathetic. He's the poster child of Canadian mediocrity. Look at him on the big stage now, when it doesn't even matter. I know I'll get lambasted for my opinion. I don't care. The CPC has lost me. This pandering sloth has nothing constructive to offer the country.
