You don’t need to have an opinion on everything. You don’t need to agree with every opinion someone has to listen to them on some things. You don’t need to care about something because lots of people have an opinion about it.

@auren I once got a speeding ticket for going 70kph 60kph which was easily capable of supporting 80kph (multiple large lanes, straight lines, no traffic) in a Lamborghini that could probably safely do it at 100. Australia. Nanny state.

let's stop useless speeding tickets was driving on a highway and got pulled over for going 86 in a 70 MPH zone. no car in front of me. was not endangering anyone. was huge waste of time (and had to get lectured by policeman) let's stop useless speeding tickets!!

The one thing worse than taxing unrealized capital gains: Not having unrealized capital gains.

When I think about everyone from the venture community who supported Trump for president, it makes me think of the Dark Knight quote: "You squeezed them, you hammered them to the point of desperation. And in their desperation, they turned to a man they didn't fully understand." I suspect a number of those VCs are starting to rethink that decision right about now.
