I have approved a request to deploy @RCAF_ARC assets to transport firefighters, equipment, and other resources to California, to assist in fighting the devastating wildfires. @CanadianForces stand ready to transport personnel and equipment to support our American neighbours.

Because Quebec and Southern California's fire seasons are reversed, the two places struck an innovative deal where LA County leases two big air tankers with pilots & crews from Quebec every fall. They're in the skies above LA now, fighting our fires. Merci, Quebec!

They say sub purchase will get us to 2 per cent GDP military spending but the boats are not even in the Amazon shopping cart yet.

It's strange how the Canadian government regularly talks up plans to purchase new submarines even though it has yet to book this procurement on the federal government's balance sheet.
