Here's a radical WordPress experiment: Block Format Bridge github.com/chubes4/block-… Convert from Markdown -> HTML -> Blocks in any order, server-side. The next evolution of my HTML to Blocks Converter plugin. Eliminates the headache of teaching Gutenberg block syntax to your AI. Going to test it with @WordPress Studio Code

Thanks! Hope it works well for you. Homeboy is a Rust CLI for devops. I use it for release automation, changelogs, and lots of other things. Saves me a lot of time and tokens over manually telling my AI to do things. Also makes the workflows repeatable. github.com/Extra-Chill/ho…

@chubes4 Great idea! Will try this for my next project. BTW, what's that homeboy.json does? I didn't find much doc around it.

That must be a bug related to the html it was given, the styling definitely works. I would love to see the template you ran through it. But yes, it is not perfect yet. I have a feedback loop i have been running to improve coverage, but still have a lot more to do. As for tokens, i'm not sure how this would cause it to consume more tokens. It's definitely less token intensive than trying to author blocks directly

@chubes4 I tried it out. It successfully converts HTML into blocks, but without any styling. This means we need to redesign all the flattened blocks from scratch. I’m currently working on an Ability plugin that converts screenshots (or HTML) into blocks and patterns. ++

@chubes4 Interesting - but why? If one has static html, why turn it into blocks to render static html again?

I didn't know there were other people taking this approach. It's more reliable than letting AI do it manually. I'm running a ton of prompts for different types of sites through it via automated benchmarks to improve it fast. I'm hoping to land it in WordPress Studio for site generation workflows. I won't stop until it's 1 for 1 visual representation with all valid blocks every time github.com/Automattic/stu…

@riadbenguella @chubes4 Did you set gpt 5.5 to use xhigh? That's the only setting I use, for non design work seems to be better for me.

I forced myself to switch to Codex App and GPT 5.5 for some days now, I'm going back to Claude App to Opus 4.7 right away. I need to stop suffering. I don't know what all the fuss to move to Codex is about tbh.
