Here are the facts: the 7 states where 2/3 of Americans don't have a passport. All of them are red states: West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Yes, that's your home state, Scott.
Married women whose married names aren't on their birth docs would face extra hurdles. Just because you don't care, doesn't mean it isn't a real issue.
It took 17 years for Real ID (with similar citizenship requirements in some states) to actually be implemented in the US. Do YOU think that's because Americans are "too dumb" to figure it out?
Oh and BTW, according to the SAVE ACT, most Real IDs wouldn't count.

This SAVE AMERICA ACT debate has revealed a truth about the Left: they think black voters, married women, and rural voters are too stupid to figure out how to vote. What a wild, condescending argument.

Senator John Thune? Why won’t you BRING THE SAVE ACT TO A VOTE?!
PLEASE RETWEET!!
The Chris Salcedo Show@CSalcedoShow
Dem Senator @JohnFetterman is a "YES" on the SAVE Act (S.128) to secure elections in the U.S. With 49 GOP co-sponsors, that's 50 with VP Vance breaking the tie. So the 4 GOP holdouts don't matter if @SenJohnThune makes Dems STAND to filibuster. Why won't he do it?

When Democrats attempted to advance sweeping election reform legislation in 2021, Republicans were unanimous in opposition because it would have federalized elections, something we have long opposed. Now, I’m seeing proposals such as the SAVE Act and MEGA that would effectively do just that. Once again, I do not support these efforts. Not only does the U.S. Constitution clearly provide states the authority to regulate the "times, places, and manner" of holding federal elections, but one-size-fits-all mandates from Washington, D.C., seldom work in places like Alaska.
Election Day is fast approaching. Imposing new federal requirements now, when states are deep into their preparations, would negatively impact election integrity by forcing election officials to scramble to adhere to new policies likely without the necessary resources. Ensuring public trust in our elections is at the core of our democracy, but federal overreach is not how we achieve this.

I’m VOTING NO on the SAVE ACT because it will:
➡️ Require proof of citizenship at poll sites — like a passport or birth certificate — documents millions of Americans don’t carry with them
➡️ Charge Americans up to $130 to obtain paperwork
➡️ Target women whose names don’t match their birth certificates, seniors, military families & rural voters - disenfranchising millions!
➡️ Cost $19 billion nationwide
➡️ Make voting harder on purpose and intimidate those newly naturalized.
That’s not election security - that is voter suppression and an erosion of our democracy.

It’s been one year since @POTUS signed an executive order to protect women’s and girls’ opportunities in sports.
On National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we celebrate the determination and achievements of women in all sports and recognize they deserve a level playing field.

Hold the boat so we can see who votes no they need to be removed
Dr Manhattva@Manhattva
The only reason any Republican would oppose the SAVE Act is because they are corrupt. There are no other legitimate reasons.

Formal request for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I am just a devout member who sustained enthusiastically the Brethren.
But may I humbly suggest that you buy the gateway, and create a BYU Salt Lake campus
Fill it with 10,000 Latter-day Saint students and save the city with the updated demographics of Salt Lake.

Senator Thune,
We understand that a government shutdown is looming & — with the democrat-led violent unrest in Minnesota — America is in a precarious position.
However, if your intent is to stay as the Senate Majority Leader, then understand one of the single most important things Americans want right now is the SAVE Act.
We work hard every single day to take care of our families. Respectfully, we don’t feel that our concerns regarding voter fraud are being taken seriously.
With non-citizens on the voter rolls in Michigan & 1 registered Minnesota voter being able to vouch for 8 other persons without an ID, how do you expect us to want to come out to vote for Republicans if we feel that our lawful votes are going to be diluted by fraudulent ones?
How is there any incentive for us to vote when we gave you the majority & you are failing to hear our voices & — more importantly — be our voice?
The American people want to see a vote on the SAVE Act. Yes, we want it to pass. Yes, there are avenues to achieve a simple majority that do not require the Nuclear Option (call Senator Lee). Yes, we want a vote even if you think it doesn’t have the votes to pass.
Most importantly, we want to see that our Senators are working for us. If you don’t respond to our emails, calls, or that the SAVE Act trends on social media every single day, how else are we supposed to feel other than that we’re being ignored?
Listen to the people that elected you, gave you the majority, & bring up the SAVE Act for a vote.
It’s time.

Thank you to all of you participating in the @March_for_Life today. Thanks to Republicans’ Working Families Tax Cuts, big abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, have been defunded. I will continue to do everything I can to support moms and protect unborn children.
