But you can’t just decree it (via NCAA rule book, etc)…the courts have already said otherwise. So the real question is first “How do you get to this type of transfer rule?” The answer is you have to collectively bargain with athletes to get these types of movement rules/restrictions. We’re not there yet in the conversation for some reason. There is a lot of talk out about what should be but all of those end points have to travel down the road of collective bargaining to be lasting and not just another decision that gets challenged/overturned.
We need stability in personnel movement/transfers, pay, employment status, agent influence, and league competition. There is a way to get it if we’ll get the athletes to the table.

John Calipari is right on this — allow one player transfer, after that, you have to sit out a year to transfer. We have guys playing for four different teams in four years. It’s beyond ridiculous and bad for the sport:

And the real $ doesn’t even show up until you look at the enrollment increase that they’ll inevitably have. That’s not only tuition for the next 4-5 years, but those graduates will be future donors who take that brand with them wherever they go, send their kids and grandkids as next-gen enrollees, and on and on. The numbers just compound from there.
For those who say they can’t invest more in athletics today, the truth is you can’t afford not to.

These last two months have been some of the most difficult of my life. It has tested our faith in every way. We've once again put everything we have into this business and community. This time was different though. From managing the location #1, building out location #2, our boys in travel sports, waking up at 4am three days a week and traveling for the pod, being a good husband and father, losing someone incredibly important in my life and so much more. For us to finally get to this day was emotional, fulfilling and stressful. I am so grateful for god blessing our family and the strength he's given us. My wife has been an absolute rock, our family has helped in every way possible and our staff has kept the business thriving. Its been a special day as Domenico's Italian Deli #2 is officially open in Murfreesboro. But the grind doesn't stop now, it's just begun. Let's get it!! 🙏

The many million of $ that were paid out just before the clearinghouse took effect was a clue that there was no confidence in or alignment with the new system. NIL GO was headed to court before it even launched…it’s still going to end up there. Any new version of the same restrictive practices will be litigated too. As their staggering history of being reactive continues, @NCAA continues its staggering lack of proactive action and is the last to understand the times in which it operates…at its own peril.

The clearinghouse has approved more than $80 million since June. There’s no chance those are legit deals so what’s the point of the new NCAA clearinghouse? NCAA just want to say they’re involved now because they have done nothing since NIL was created in 2021.
