NEW: Outrage has broken out after Pope Leo appeared to quote Jesus using a passage that does not exist in the Bible. “Jesus told us, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.’” The first line echoes scripture. The rest does not appear in any biblical passage. The Pope is being accused of using a fabricated quote from Jesus to push a political message.

Hunter has long been the Blanche DuBois of American politics, relying on the kindness of strangers when he could allegedly offer influence or access to his father. He is now in South Africa as his former lawyers and creditors seek $17 million back home. jonathanturley.org/2026/04/16/mr-…

In a letter sent Tuesday to Athletic Executive Editor Steven Ginsberg and obtained by The Associated Press, Dianna Russini said: “I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published. When the Page Six item first appeared, The Athletic supported me unequivocally, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism. For that I am grateful. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators in various media have engaged in self-feeding speculation that is simply unmoored from the facts. Moreover, this media frenzy is hurtling forward without regard for the review process The Athletic is trying to complete. It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in submitting to a public inquiry that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept. Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30. I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.”

Former Congressman George Santos Reveals The NEXT Democrat Who Will RESIGN after a Sexual Abuse Scandal… Santos tells me Ruben Gallego's Office Was 'Revolving Door' At Night — And the Now Arizona Senator Was 'Always Accompanied By Different Young Women' Santos was neighbors with Gallego in Congress. And Gallego’s best friend was Eric Swalwell. Santos says Gallego and Swalwell both engaged in the same "pattern" of sexual deviance. "It’s a behavioral pattern. It’s a culture that he and Eric Swalwell embraced in D.C. because they’re arrogant and they thought they were above it all and they were just gonna never get caught." "Where there's smoke there's fire. Please keep the pressure on Gallego." Santos is right. We need to find out if Gallego is just as much of a creepy predator as Swalwell.

@Riley_Gaines_ Riley -- I've never met you, though I almost did in Nashville at the Fox Patriot Awards a few years ago and got sidetracked, but I've admired you from afar. Just wanted to say I watched your video explaining your position on the Pres. Trump post and how you graciously explained your total support for the president despite disagreeing with his post and despite his personal reaction. The way you articulated your faith and priorities was pure class. The way you unapologetically proclaimed your continued love and support for President Trump was pure grace and right on. After Pres. Trump explained what he intended the video to depict I don't think it was as bad as it originally seemed, but my point here is that you modeled how these issues should be handled, and kudos also for defying those who insist you withdraw your support for him in view of your disapproval of his post. I wish more people could understand that the occasional disagreement with Pres. Trump does not mean betrayal. That's absurd. And sticking with him despite disagreements is also reasonable, admirable, and in the best interests of America. You and Pres. Trump are natural allies and will continue to be irrespective of this and previous spats. LOL. Carry on.

I don’t seem to recall three Bishops doing a lengthy interview with 60 Minutes to denounce President Biden’s policies that unleashed unrestricted chemical abortion pills into every state and killed over 700,000 children made in God’s image last year alone.

@Pontifex Interesting that Lutherans such as myself are specifically anathematized under the Council of Trent for believing we are saved by faith in Christ alone but Algerian Muslims who forbid Christians from sharing that Gospel are in “communion” with Rome.

Cardinal Robert Sarah drops truth like a hammer: “Wake up. Islam is a danger. If Christians don’t start caring about our faith, Islam will take over the West. They’ll impose their laws and culture. They’ll grow massively in number. And we will decline.” While Pope Leo preaches “dialogue and friendship” with the same force that quotes “kill them wherever you find them” and “fight until religion is all for Allah,” one cardinal refuses the suicide pact. Europe bleeds from grooming gangs, stabbings, and no-go zones. Tommy Robinson gets ISIS fatwas. Blue cities here import the same rot while disarming you. Sarah sees it. Real Christians must see it. Weak faith invites conquest. Strong faith defends the West. Christ is King. No surrender.

There’s zero reason for David Axelrod to be meeting with Pope Leo. He’s not Catholic—he’s Jewish—and his current roles are purely political consulting and media commentary, not anything tied to the Catholic Church or Vatican affairs. So the question is simple: why is a partisan political strategist sitting down with a religious leader at all? This isn’t about faith—it’s about influence. And where are the prominent Conservative "Catholics" calling this all out?
