We had the opportunity to capture one of the world’s most advanced drill ships, Noble Globetrotter, during her highly specialized transit through the Bosphorus.
Built for ultra-deepwater operations, extreme conditions, and accommodating up to 180 crew, she stands as a striking example of offshore engineering at its peak.
Our cameras were in position as she made her passage, documenting a rare moment on one of the world’s most challenging waterways.
Her agency operations were successfully managed by Transbosphor
#OnThisDay 179 years ago the GER opened Whittlesea, Manea and March stations in Cambs. The latter (pictured 1986 Nick Peters buff.ly/etxdGTE) became a key junction station and freight hub with the adjacent Whitemoor Marshalling Yard, today all a shadow of its former glory

@ovsbulleid Regular 16:15 departure from Guildford to Reading in early 70s. sometimes took a ride to Ash before switching to more more boring HAL/BIL/VEP EMUs on to Camberley.

These units were cobbled together from 2 cars, including the driving motor, from a Hastings 6S unit, and a driving trailer from a 2EPB. The Hastings cars were narrower than the EPB car, hence the nickname “Tadpole”
