We knew the proscription of Palestine Action was absurd and immoral. Now, we know it was unlawful too. Today’s ruling is a vindication for all those who had the courage to oppose genocide — and a day of shame for those in our government who enabled it.

From New Forest Roads Awareness The innocence in this eye. This is Leah's eye as she laid dead on the side of the Lymington to Hatchet pond road. Leah was a much loved and cared for donkey. I stayed with her for a while this morning, stroked her and apologised that I hadn't worked hard enough to save her! I do that at every RTC I attend. Why you may ask? Because my work should be easier. 'fence the roads, remove all the livestock, get average speed cameras, speed bumps the list goes on' But there is one FREE, easy, simple and should be logical thing that Everyone can do. SLOW DOWN AND DRIVE TO THE CONDITIONS. PASS SLOW AND WIDE. GIVE LIVESTOCK SPACE. We shouldn't be scared to call other drivers out and report them to the police. hampshire.police.uk/ro/report/ Get a dash cam, and if you have one make sure your date and time is correct. We haven't even hit November yet, and if I'm honest without your help, I may run out of signs. #poniesdontdenttheydie #expectittostepout #ExpectTheUnexpected

As another man who once worked with me declares himself saddened by my beliefs on gender and sex, I thought it might be useful to compile a list for handy reference. Which of the following do you imagine makes actors and directors who aren’t involved with the HBO reboot of Harry Potter so miserable? Is it my belief that women and girls should have their own public changing rooms and bathrooms? That women should retain female-only rape crisis centres? That men don’t belong in women’s sport? That female prisoners shouldn’t be incarcerated with violent men and male sex offenders? That women should remain a protected class in law, because they have sex-specific needs and issues? That language should reflect reality rather than ideological jargon, especially in a medical context? That women shouldn’t be harassed, persecuted or fired for refusing to pretend humans can change sex? That women should not be threatened with violence and rape when they assert their rights? That freedom of speech and belief are essential to a pluralistic democratic society? That troubled minors, especially those who are gay, autistic and trauma-experienced, should be given mental health support instead of irreversible surgeries and drug treatments on non-existent evidence of benefit? That gay people shouldn’t be pressured to include the opposite sex in their dating pools, nor should they be smeared as ‘genital fetishists’ when they don’t? That cross-dressing heterosexual male fetishists aren’t actually oppressed, but having the time of their lives piggybacking off gender identity ideology? That said ideology, and the privileged, blinkered fools pushing it because they suffer zero consequences themselves, have done more damage to the political left’s credibility than Trump and Farage could have achieved in a century? Let me have your thoughts.

One month before turning 95, Patricia Routledge wrote this, she died today aged 96. “I’ll be turning 95 this coming Monday. When I was younger, I often worried I wasn’t good enough—that I’d never be cast again, that I’d disappoint my mother. But these days begin in peace and end in gratitude.” In my forties, my life finally began to make sense. Before that, I’d performed steadily—provincial stages, radio plays, West End productions—but felt somewhat lost. I was searching for something within myself, a home I hadn’t yet found. At 50, I took a television role that many of you would later know me by—Hyacinth Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances. I thought it would just be a minor role, a brief moment. I never expected it to become beloved across the globe. That character taught me to embrace my quirks and quietly healed something deep within me. At 60, I started learning Italian—not for my career, but simply so I could sing opera in its native tongue. I learned the gentle art of living alone without loneliness, reading poetry aloud each night—not to perfect diction, but to soothe my spirit. At 70, I returned to Shakespearean theatre, a place I once thought I’d aged out of. This time, there was nothing to prove. I stepped onto those legendary boards with calmness. The audience felt that serenity. I had stopped performing; I was simply being. At 80, I discovered watercolor painting. I painted flowers from my garden, nostalgic hats from my youth, and faces glimpsed on the London Underground—each painting was a silent memory made tangible. Now, at 95, I write letters by hand. I’m learning the simple joy of baking rye bread. I still breathe deeply each morning. Laughter remains precious, though I no longer feel the need to make others laugh. Quietness is sweeter than ever. I’m writing this today to share something simple and true: Growing older isn’t a final act—it can be life’s most exquisite chapter if you allow yourself to bloom once more. Let the years ahead be your treasure years. You don’t have to be perfect, famous, or adored. You only need to be present—fully—for the life that’s yours. With warmth and gentle love, — Patricia Routledge RIP

I know you're worried about the level of illegal migration into this country. Digital ID is another measure to make it tougher to work illegally here, making our borders more secure. Ours is a fairer Britain, built on change, not division.

I firmly oppose the government’s plans for compulsory digital ID cards. This is an affront to our civil liberties, and will make the lives of minorities even more difficult and dangerous. It is excessive state interference — and must be resisted.

They calculatedly seek digital ID at the point they feel we are most divided as a society, and less likely to unite. We need rise above the fault lines, and come together as one indomitable force, to oppose this Orwellian imposition. We can go back to calling each other nob-heads, afterwards.
