@NigelSommelier I think we’re all fed up with the weather. Fortunately we can enjoy a great glass of beer in compensation, whereas the poor cats can only lounge about in the warm!

A gathering of the moggies tonight. Once again they're all fed up with the weather. Howling wind and rain here 😞 #cats

@NigelSommelier It does depend on the pub I think. Pubs need all the customers they can get these days. But too many dogs in a small space can be unpleasant particularly if owners are unable to control them. It’s also difficult to limit the number if you accept them. A dog friendly room possibly

@NigelSommelier Such a shame we don’t have similar innovative measures from our government(s).

Ths is an interesting move. The "Coltiva Italia" bill will introduce #beer routes and simpler taxation for microbreweries. There'll be more funding for the craft beer supply chain. pintamedicea.com/birra/2026/col…

@BriggsonBeer Tilray is the 4th largest craft beer company (not brewery) in the US apparently and has a $100million joint venture with AB InBev according to Wikipedia. So Brewdog will probably fit quite well. I don’t think anything that size could constitute being called ‘craft beer’.

@ArchieDuke14 @BriggsonBeer Well it was the 1940’s. Most American beer was better then (I think). Carlsberg certainly was in the 60’s!
English

@BriggsonBeer Thank you. I haven't tried it but I've had some traumatic experiences with American beer in the past 😫 so perhaps not. Cheers!🍺

@AndySlayer7 @BriggsonBeer It’s sad to see the closure of any brewery, particularly one with a great history and in an area where other jobs are scarce, but will anyone notice if it’s brewed in any of Coors other beer factories?
English

@BriggsonBeer With the closure of Sharpes Brewery I wont be partaking of their products brewed elsewhere.
English

@RobinHoodGav @BriggsonBeer Given the price of Sky the ‘deal’ possibly makes it worth throwing a lot of it away. Amazing what you have to do to get a pub to sell a beer these days.
English

@BriggsonBeer It’s in a lot of chain pubs and those owned by likes of Punch/Stonesgate
Plus due to the Sky deal, if a freehouse sells a 9g a week they could save a fortune as part of the wider deal
English

@Fat_Jacques @BriggsonBeer No. It shows that other brands are not allowed to sell their beer in most places Doom Bar is sold. When left with little choice there’s little alternative.
English

@BriggsonBeer Agreed. It shows that other brands of middle of the road English Bitter have given up.

@BriggsonBeer Ah yes. Cask ale produced once more at the original Brewery. It’s not often you get positive outcomes from Carlsberg and a very welcome one too!
English

@cidercask Yes. Jennings bought by two local entrepreneurs. Jennings cask beers back in production, including the awesome Sneck Lifter. 🍻👏👍😋
