@MrPitbull07 I lost my daughter, Kendall, to glioblastoma. She was diagnosed at 30. She once wrote, "This is not a fight. This is my life. So instead of fighting I'm going to keep on living and enjoying every adventure. And she did. lovegoesfurther.org

We are constantly told to "battle" cancer. "Fight hard." "Beat it."
My dad did the exact opposite. He surrendered.
He looked at a Stage 4 diagnosis and said, "I'm not spending my last days in a war zone."
He bought an RV. He went fishing. He hiked the National Parks.
He completely dropped the rope. He stopped fighting the disease and started enjoying the sunset.
18 months later, the doctors called his 60% tumor shrinkage an "anomaly."
It turns out, sometimes the body can't heal when it's locked in a constant state of combat and fear.
Peace is a severely underrated therapeutic.

@PureBayern @MrPitbull07 @jjllcc7070 No. Kendall was a five-year survivor of DMG, a type of brain cancer where only 1% see five-years. Yesterday was the anniversary of her death. I wrote, "In the story of Kendall's life, how she died is just an anecdote. The real story is how she lived." Heartbreaking but true. 💚

Doctor: "Chemo might give you 12 months. Without it? 6 months."
Dad: "I'll take the 6 months."
He didn't want to die in a hospital bed. He wanted to die in a National Park.
He bought an RV. He grabbed my mom. He hit the road.
He stopped fighting the cancer and started fighting the boredom.
6 months passed. He was hiking.
12 months passed. He was fishing.
18 months passed. The tumor had shrunk by 60%.
The doctors called it a "medical anomaly."
My dad called it "The Grand Canyon Cure."
Maybe the best chemotherapy isn't a poison. Maybe it’s just… life.

@kilo_1_1_1 I'm a Marine Mom, so I'm familiar with the challenges you reference. In fact, Love Goes Further begins with my son in Afghanistan. The book is currently being formatted as an e-book. I will send you a copy as soon as it's ready.

@cindyeich Good morning Cindy...thank you for your offer, that's so sweet of you I'm currently on active deployment and receiving packages is a lot of stress, do you by any chance have soft copies of your book you can forward it to my email ☺️☺️☺️

When my daughter died I learned moving forward feels impossible when so much joy resides in the past. In Love Goes Further I wrote, "Joy and sorrow walk hand in hand. They are truly inseparable. Joy-filled experiences hold remarkable sweetness but are tinged with the bitter taste of grief. And in our saddest moments we cradle our most precious and joy-filled memories."

@cindyeich Thank you so much for the compliment Cindy.
Speaking from the heart has always been therapeutic for me.
I gave you a follow back. God bless. 🙏

Not a dis on the many talented athletes or performers, but @charlieputh won SuperBowl LX. His rendition of the National Anthem was excellent. A revenant start, and just when I said to my husband, "Ok. Bring it, Charlie," he did. Well done!
Charlie Puth@charlieputh
Thank you everyone for your kind words. It was an honor to sing The National Anthem. I wrote the arrangement in a very specific way to honor Whitney Houston- I hope that was heard. Thank you to the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, the Sainted Choir, the Color of Noize Orchestra, Steve Hackman, and Kenny G for joining me on stage. And thank you Adam Blackstone for writing such a beautiful choir part. I love music so much.
