The largest threat to Somaliland was not Somalia it was internal division and Muse Bihi and the people around him. Dhulbahante are Somalilanders even by your own argument and in that I was right to argue for them against the unnecessary bombardment of a Somaliland city. Take a chill pill, #Somaliland. Everyone works in their own way. Some are frantic or fervorous, some laid-back, some overly cautious, some extremely outspoken, and many that voluntarily bite their tongue for the greater good. Many are in it for personal aspirations or tribal gain, while others are in it for “god and country.” A few brave even support positions outwardly, that contradict their internal moral compass; simply to move the needle for Somaliland’s sake. Because YOU won’t. But guess what? SOMEONE HAS TO. We’re all on the same team. No one gets to police advocacy methods, unless your target is accountable (financially) to the government and by extension its taxpayers. Do YOU, and let others do THEM. Even when we disagree on methodology, the points all add up in our favour when reconciled.
