@merge87 @tenpencearcade Ooooh, very nice! I'm gonna bookmark this, thanks. I need to do more testing on the Pi 4 though as I had some real issues with it picking up my custom controller. Something to do with Pi 4 cycling the power to USB on boot or something and so it wouldn't detect the USB device.

@tenpencearcade I'm not sure. I still use RetroPie. I've wondered the same but haven't been able to find the answer. I do wish the boot time was better. The best I've been able to do it show a splash screen, hide the terminal output and boot straight to ROM, but it still takes 50 secs.

@circuitbeard Ah right. Is there any way of ‘bare metal’ biotin mame + rom? This would make our new builds seem so much more authentic. Your work here is exemplary!

Checkout this stunning clone of my Outrun Deluxe mini desktop arcade. 🤩🤩🤩 By going slightly larger they've managed to use a standard steering wheel and shifter. And really nice to see they've gone for a similar professional print job for that touch of quality.

@circuitbeard Mr Beard, if you need inspiration for another project... How's about adapting one of these into a Sega Star Wars Trilogy Arcade? (or probably cheaper to 3D print an approximation of one).

@circuitbeard Thank you very much, your outrun was so beautiful, I needed one! It was a lot of work but I'm proud that you like it. It is not really a standard steering wheel and shifter. The whole mechanism has been 3D printed. Thank again for your work.
