Shelter in place and evacuation at SLC Justice Court. I have been talking to a woman who has a niece inside, she said her friend was taken to an ambulance nearly two hours ago. She is still on lockdown inside the justice court. I'm on TV momentarily, updates on @KUTV2News at 5pm.

Jaylen Brown gets ejected for only the second time in his career after completely losing it. Brown felt he was clearly pushed out of bounds with no whistle and erupted, going after the official before being tossed from the game and having to be restrained on his way out. 👀

My colleague @SaltLakeCC wearing a new #CheckMe oximeter (ordered after seeing mine). He has good oxygen until he shut his office door. In a matter of mins his saturation dropped to 85%. I had my #Aranet4 with me. His CO₂, just himself, shot up to 2200 ppm in a matter mins.

@drseanmullen @Tabbyette112 @Redleleblue @DJCanoe Exhaled aerosol contains a lot of dissolved CO2. When the CO2 leaves the aerosol, the pH of the aerosol increases from neutral to very high. This high pH inactivates SARS-CoV-2. Any acid in the air will neutralize the aerosol, leading to the virus remaining infectious longer.

It’s been nearly 2 years since @ONS last surveyed the number of children in England with Long Covid. At that time, the data showed that the number of kids with Long Covid had nearly doubled in a year… …and then the data collection stopped. Full stop. 🛑

ONS is no longer tracking prevalence of Long Covid… …but, at the last count, the # of children with Long Covid had nearly DOUBLED in a year (between Mar 2023 & Mar 2024), rising to over 111K in England & Scotland. That’s over 1K NEW cases in children PER WEEK across the year.

I've had both positive and concerning experience with the Vitalight. It reads very comparable to the Aranet4. But the big downside, its ABC calibration seems random. Without my Aranet4 I wouldn't have known that Vitalight's calibration is very unpredictable. I love my #Aranet4

CO2 monitors are great for estimating both air quality and the risk airborne disease transmission in a given space. A study just came out comparing the top of the line Aranet with a low cost alternative (Vitalight). Turns out they work just as well in typical environments.
