Dashboard Agents I’ve seen maybe a dozen cool dashboards on X this week that I think people have put together with AI agents. Many of these are very impressive, but I think it’s obvious that Excel (the world’s second greatest software) might finally have had its day. I wonder if the keyboard and mouse peripherals might have seen their peak too? We’re probably going to see more and more camera and microphone UX where you input to the computer with audio and physical gestures? I am monitoring the situation, and considering a building a dashboard to monitor dashboard adoption.

@Kumanoue @elonmusk Our company has been building utility scale solar in Kanto region for listed companies for over 10 years. There is a greay demand for solar in Japan, but heavy regulation and size constraints. Sub 2MW, or even sub 500kW limitations, etc.

@Kumanoue @elonmusk Perovskite will first come as a tandem module with silicon to improve panel efficiency to greater than 30%. Standalone commercial perovskite is many years away and will always be playing catchup to silicon efficiency and cost. Do you not want cheap reliable energy?

@cjb_twit @dwesterster @ProtonInspector Boiling water is a different energy transformation. If you compare using sunlight energy to boil water directly to converting sunlight to electricity and then using that electricity to boil water, the second will be 3 times less efficient.

They came up with an energy producing method that doesn’t boil water and none of you fucking cared anyway

@eterevsky @dwesterster @ProtonInspector But boiling water using electricity can be 100% efficient, and solar panels make electricity. So you're not really comparing the correct metrics.

@dwesterster @ProtonInspector Efficiency, not effectiveness. PV converts around 28% of the incoming energy to electricity, steam turbine up to ~60%.

Genuinely excited about the plug-in solar news in the UK, I'll absolutely be doing this! I've wanted solar for ages but I have a weird roof so the idea of experimenting with something simple in the garden / garage to start with is very appealing 👀

@GBApollo @robhawkes I think you're right, the current ecoflow solution is for the batteries to store excess but not export that to grid. Only to plugged in devices. It seems like the "Stream" product can be truly AC coupled, but is not designed to be connected to a socket, but to a breaker.

@robhawkes So you could have a set feeding into your house up to 800W but arguably have more panels with a battery pack charging that up to use when your prime feed is not generating? Would the battery pack be able to be plugged in to the house circuit to serve just like grid supply? 🤔

@biomulv @SawyerMerritt @Starlink @British_Airways I expect no less haha. Last flight on Japan Airlines I used Panasonic in-flight wifi. Of the 14 hour flight, it worked badly for 2 and a half hours and cost £18.

Calling solar farms ‘farms’ is a deliberate misuse of our language to make them seem more acceptable. They should be called solar industrial plants or solar factories.
