How strange to me that these were never at issue in the 70s. Sure, there were malapropisms and obviously reaching a wide-ranging audience to clarify was never going to happen on the 4 or 5 channels available in the US.
While we're at it...
- "flesh out", not "flush out"
- "for all intents and purposes", not "for all intensive purposes"
- "regardless", not "irregardless"
- "nip it in the bud", not "nip it in the butt"
- "one and the same", not "one in the same"
- "moot point", not "mute point"

Some women will never want children in their life in any meaningful capacity. They don't want to give birth. They don't want to adopt. They don't want to be the fun auntie. They don't want to be a godmother. They don't want to work in a field with children. They will never change a child's diaper and don't believe their lack of childcare skills is a problem that needs fixing, because childcare is not a crucial part of the human experience, with billions of people on the planet. They go about their day while only seeing kids out at the grocery store or at the park, and nothing is missing from their lives. The refusal to accept this is driving a global right-wing backlash movement.

Hey @Target in Swansea Massachusetts: I have tolerated the disheveled displays, trash around the store and lack of open registers but letting these plants dry up and die is really bothering me. I took a gallon of water off your shelf and took care of these but please make sure someone waters them again tomorrow. Thank you.
P.S: if you can't afford to staff your stores, close some. I would happily drive further if I knew the store was clean and there were employees around. These stores are dumps.

I love orb weavers. Harmless, eats stinkbugs, highly visible so you don't walk into one. Headlines are a little misleading though. The body is about an inch or so long, it's the legs that make it "hand sized" so Australia's still winning
