I got into UI/UX design because I genuinely love designing interfaces. The blend of creativity mixed with business logic just suits my mind/personality so perfectly. I worked so many jobs before this that I hated, UI/UX design gave me a career track I could truly enjoy and develop in. A lot of people want to get into UI/UX design just to make money, I can say for certainty this is the wrong approach, and you will be lapped by someone who has genuine passion for it. If you find yourself binging on threads and videos on "how to make $10K a month with UI design!" you need to take a step back and ask yourself why you want to do this. Getting into something purely for money will create an uphill battle for you. Figure out what your passionate about, what you are GOOD at, and then build skills in that area to offer value and create cash flow for yourself.

Sad to share that I've been laid off; my time at @QuaiNetwork/@Dominant_Strat has come to a close. The last 3 years have been a wild and exciting ride, and I cannot convey my gratitude enough to most of the Quai team, the community, and everyone else I've met along the way. A big and special thank you to my oh-so-consistent office and game hours crowd, the node wranglers, @HemantVajaria, @basedPavel, @spartan_9049, and so many others I don't have room to name here. I still plan to be somewhat active in the Quai community -- watch for mainnet coming soon! While I do have some leads on my next opportunity, I'm very open to exploring new protocols, applications, and roles. If you know of anyone building dope stuff and looking for a Developer Relations/Frontend Engineer, hit my DMs! Cheers and on to new things!
