@tferriss Thanks Tim. As a homeschooling father of four under 12, this episode was extremely thought and discussion provoking and has already inspired a relaxation of rules in our home, to the benefit of all!

"Resilience comes from passion. It comes from an interest. When someone is just absolutely obsessed with some problem, they have the fortitude, the stick-to-it-iveness. Nothing approaches the stick-to-it-iveness of somebody who is just hell-bent on achieving something, building something, creating something."

@IMPERATORAUS @CodeNameOFP Scripture is sign post to the Eternal. Some find it with in the pages, some find it else where. Some miss the whole point and think they can intellectualize their way to truth, own an interpretation and judge everyone else by it.

This is what pioneering a new path for public figures to connect to their fans & the public generally, looks like. I predict this will become the new normal soon. Notice how @DjokerNole graciously kept the door open for proper remedy too. Bravo!

And this is the @Telegraph ‘s take on the @DjokerNole incident? Another stab at Djokovic, “thin-skinned”? I am ashamed to be Australian right now.

Talking to kids about hard realities. It’s the lack of info & coherence btwn emotion & facts that puts them in “open loop” distress. Tell them the truth. The human brain craves a coherent story.

If you read more than the abstracts of most of the studies on seed oils (especially human RCTs), I don't think it's very hard to tell which evidence is worth paying attention to.
Excluding multifactorial interventions, blatant issues with study design, and trans fats in control groups I'd say it's pretty clear that seed oils are not benign for human health.
Mechanistic evidence supports this assertion, as do animal studies.
Not surprisingly, you have to work pretty hard to convince yourself that highly refined, bleached and deodorized seed oils that are very susceptible to oxidation and create oxidative liability in the human body are not overtly harmful for humans.
Then again, even a modicum of intuition could give you this inclination. Polyunsaturated fats like LA accumulate in human tissues. Our consumption of LA is massively higher today than it was 100 years and certainly much higher than throughout human evolution.

@ZssBecker It not my experience at all. Like quite the opposite actually. 12 months carnivore and lean and ripped. I have Crohn’s Disease, and find it very agreeable. Each to their own
English

2 month carnivore diet review :
I know some people were curious since I started so here's my results etc.
Been on it for 60 days. Absolutely zero cheats. Main food just fatty ribeyes.
Overall : I'm don't think it's great. Going back to previous diets.
Cliff notes :
First point : I would not say I feel bad or like carnivore makes you sick or anything. I feel overall VERY good.
But I also had a clean diet before carnivore and felt very good.
Pro
-Good mental clarity
-Feels REALLY good at first
-Good for digestion
-No sugar craving/processed food cravings
-Really lowers alcohol cravings
-Amazing for elimination
Cons/Misconceptions
(Please note this is from the view of a person whose had no problem maintaining a 6 pack for years, already has a clean diet with tons of exercise and good blood work...
If you're the opposite of those things you could see wildly different results).
The big benefits if your a healthy person already with carni is
-Energy/focus
-Lack of hunger
-Able to eat as much as you want and to fullness
-Ease of weight management
-Higher quality appearance
Outside energy/focus I haven't experienced these despite strict adherence and 60+ days time.
In short :
-Really isn't great for weight loss. I've never had more trouble staying lean despite cheating zero and sticking to the strictest carnivore set up (beef n water only)
I THINK if you are already fat this will crush it for weight loss. If your already lean, it will probably make you put on weight as you need to be way more exact with your diet.
I think its REALLY good for getting to a healthy body fat that is better than 90% of people.
I think its an absolute pain in the ass if your trying to keep vanity pool ready and a good looking physique.
Granted Carnis will tell you it takes time, your healing, etc etc...but I've eaten PERFECT and its just been ass.
Its so much easier to maintain and stay fit on a more standard diet.
I've had to resort to counting calories again on carni and even going to OMD, which if I am doing that there's no point to carni. It's all the cons of a standard diet + a ton more cons.
-Skin doesn't feel great. Most will say carnivore will make you look better, I def feel standard healthy diet works far better.
-Most carnis will tell you calories in/out doesn't matter.
I've thought this was bullshit for years, I can confirm now yes its bullshit.
It's really easy to overeat on carnivore and I'm not even messing with cheese/low quality meat that usually cause problems. Just straight ribeye.
I can easily eat 4,000 calories in a day and still be hungry where as I can get full on 1,500 calories a day if I am clever on a standard diet and trying to cut. It's just a nuisance.
Fasting has been a bit easier, but def not by a large margin.
Ribeyes are a pain because their calorie/fat content can be all over the place.
Ground beef is easier but its not filling.
If you eat till satiety like they preach, you just put on weight.
ALL of this may not be true for people who are not trying to keep lean. If your lean your body will actively try to make you NOT lean thus driving weight gain on carnivore.
-Sleep isn't great
-It DOES maintain & grow muscle & you can perform in the gym, but your muscles look way smaller. I'm actually the strongest I've been in years right now but smaller which is kind of funny.
Overall :
I mainly went on the diet to increase energy, stay lean even easier and reduce hunger for focus and ease.
The diet is more work to stay fit/lean than any diet I've ever tried. Keeping your body on point is just a straight up nuisance. I also am not getting any real benefits from it. There's no boost in anything worth while and a lot of cons like muscle size.
Because of that its not worth the trade off.
I'll be going back to a more traditional diet of
-Sweet potatoes
-Chicken
-Mixed veggies
-Few fruits
-Organ meats
I've easily maintained peak health & fitness on this.
Most carnis will respond to this like
-You didnt give it long enough
-Your body is healing you should be eating more
-This all will go away
But 2 months in. Zero cheats. Perfect adherence...Coming from a point of already great health.... Naw.
This is more work than its worth.
If your already fat or want to stick within a healthy body fat range and want to really clear up your body I think its great.
If you look at most carnivores they are all mid range in terms of their bodies. This is GREAT for 98% of people.
If you want to be shredded, jacked and peak performing I don't think its great. I think its really damn hard n complicated.
If you look at most tubers/people that have peak bodies (without roids) they are usually following a more standard diet.
Just my 2 cents. I just wanted to lay out my full experience so people don't throw me in as a carnivore success story.

@KerryKennedyRFK So sad that you don’t see your brother’s strength and conviction as a positive, despite a difference of opinion. So sad that party politics runs deeper than blood
