@binx7h A few choices but definitely one was having broken ribs - hurt to move, hurt to breathe or talk, literally couldn’t sleep, had to try to doze in a chair sitting upright.

@Roo_VT Yep. When you have it in your limbs and joints, and there that moment when you try to grit through the pain and roll over to get out of bed because it’s too painful to sit up/get up normally. Relatively more under control now.

@SmileProjectLo1 @binx7h I lost my second born in 2019. About the same age as yours was. It feels like a direct blow to your spirit. It’s always one day at a time. 🙏🏽

@CrazyVibes_1 When I was 7, ran into a fence of barbed wire. Brother ran to find our parents (down/across the road). Couldn’t find them (!), couldn’t remember where I was. I picked myself off the wire (so much pain I hallucinated an out-of-the-body experience). Last scar faded when I was 52.

Dear Gen X, I’ve been watching 80s movies and I just need to know…WHERE WERE YOUR PARENTS?? Every child was just wandering the earth unsupervised like a raccoon with house keys. Riding bikes across town at midnight, fighting ghosts, investigating murders, befriending cryptids, hacking government computers for funsies… And the parents were ALWAYS “out of town” or “working late” while the only adult-adjacent supervision was some random 16-year-old who got dragged into the chaos. No cell phones. No helmets. No adult supervision. Just vibes, life lessons, and several near-death experiences. You all weren’t “raised.” You were lightly monitored feral creatures with a bike and unresolved trauma. I’m genuinely shocked there are enough of you left to populate an entire generation.

@Teslimatttt I thought this was all pretty clear in the finale. Kimiko was meant to depower him, and was struggling to do it up to this point. Even if all three in front of her were (temporarily?) depowered, Butcher was a much stronger, more trained, fighter as a normie than Homelander,

Let’s talk about how hard Homelander got nerfed in the finale. A standard crowbar somehow tanks the entire force of his dive bomb without instantly snapping, and then he loses a strength struggle to Butcher with it?? I thought this man was supposed to be the equivalent of Superman

@CaesarMakeMoney Not the right insight. Note most of the way down the write-up is the key - “If they wanted to learn a skill, start a serious business, handle a real emergency, or show discipline, he would support them.” Has to be partly down to him if none of them have done that. Guidance.

I was in a bar when I met a father who had $10 million in his bank account. He has 4 kids, and all of them are broke. I asked him why he did not help his kids out in life with all this money. But what he said will shock you…

@HazelAppleyard The answers will be overwhelmingly in favour of the money - $6 million a year sets up your family (or your lifestyle) very quickly. And sleep has more effects than simply being rested - emotional balance, memory consolidation, etc.

A genie offers you a choice, you can either have 17,000 dollars a day tax free or never have to sleep again. If you don't spend the money you get to keep it and it keeps adding up. If you choose not to need sleep you always feel well rested and will never tire. Which do you choose?

@otokyo Ask the AI that constructed the image or the engagement farmer that originally put this together to do better. If it was real, relax, she doesn’t live there, her clothes and self are clean and well made up. So offer to escort her out and get her home safely to her place.

Once submitted a sick request to work because I needed to take my dog to the vets since he had an erection that wouldn't go down. Thought it was easier to just say I was sick than explain that I needed time off to work out how to fix my dogs permanent hard on

Lawyer at big company. When we get sued I have to do a risk-weighted assessment of how much the claim is worth. For the last few years I've just plucked a number out of thin air every time. Now the auditors want a presentation on the methodology I use to calculate it. Gulp.

@EdLatimore Context matters in the debates about tipping. In the UK/parts of Europe, the “tronc” is quite common - like a tipping pool which then spreads the tips through to the food prep guys in the kitchen, etc. But base pay for waiting staff is proportionately higher than in the US.

Tipping culture is...problematic. I'm not saying $40 on this is too little or just right. But let's be real for a second. Effort doesn’t scale linearly with the bill. On top of that, I shouldn't have to pay more because I purchased more. I think tips should be given but we've turned a courtesy into a requirement. And that has consequences in everything from how employers pay (or not pay) to how customers feel about their service. If they made tips mandatory, it turns into a service fee, and restaurant owners don't want that smoke with the IRS. No one wants that, but this shaming shit has got to stop.
Matt | The Mini-Retirement Maximalist@MiniRetireMatt

The guy who posted this on social media genuinely believed the $40 tip was appropriate Look at what was purchased!?! 6 people... A $40 tip on a $545.17 bill... Completely inappropriate At the very least each person should've chipped in $20 for the tip

Try this one. Climbed a mountain over 15,000 ft Held a spider. Held a snake. Piloted a plane. Slept in a desert. Slept in a jungle. Walked across a ice field. Driven a tank. Fired a gun. Saved someones life. Lived in the wild for 3 weeks or more. Navigated out of a wilderness. Delivered a baby. Used a tourniquet.

@hicasamadim 3 The tubes to 4, 5 and 6 are blocked, two different ways. 7 has a hole in its base. 1 and 2 drain via 2 then 7. Water flows from 1 into 3, fills the blocked tube towards 5, then fills itself. This is robust even to fairly high pressure of water flow.
