I'll happily debate this with you @TrueGeordieTG mate. Yes it's been a tough season. Remember Sir Bobby finished 11th twice, Keegan finished 6th (3rd and a 2nd either side). Neither won a trophy either. It's time to get behind Eddie. 👍🖤🤍

It really baffles me how people can disagree with this.
Progress has never and will never be a straight upward trajectory. He has gave us the best day of our lives and countless unbelievable memories.

@CoachMeron It makes complete sense. The club has always struggled badly to land a quality manager who genuinely wants to settle in the region and realise ambitions with #NUFC. It’s a unique job and there’s never been a better managerial fit for us in my 60 years following the club. Never

I’m not Howe in or out (pretty much 50/50 tbh).
But the Howe-ins asking “who would you get?” doesn’t make sense.
That’s the sporting director’s job. Wilson should be analysing managers across Europe based on his specific requirements.
He has the time to do this, fans don’t.

"But who would you get?" Its not our job to replace him. Howe has just been schooled by Regis Le Bris. Twice. A manager no one would have even heard of til Sunderland. And Michael Carrick from Boro has just taken Manchester United from awful mediocrity to 3rd. There is options.

We all know why there was emergency/panic buying last summer (crass to just blame Howe). That was the first meaningful spending in 5 fucking transfer windows.

Eddie Howe has had 3.5 seasons of overachievement relative to resources and wage bill.
This season is the first time he / the team have performed below expectations and there are mitigating factors.
He has earned a chance to put things right. It is that simple for me #nufc

Why do fans need to be split into 'real' vs 'online' tiers? What do the sacred match-going fans think exactly? They were tearing the team apart after the loss too or did you miss that?

One final thought. And listen, I appreciate all the replies. Helps me gauge online fan opinion. If the "Eddie out" crew get their wish. Do you think he'd struggle to find another job? Or quickly pop up at one of our rivals? He's the best English manager by a mile.

@MsiDouglas @BenMTobin If you want to play CL regularly you maybe need a budget higher than 8th in the PL? A deeper squad, deeper coaching team and better training facilities?

@BenMTobin He is clearly a good coach. An excellent one. Newcastle are worse because he hasn't had enough time to coach them... but if you want to play CL regularly you have to cope with that.
