@JohnPleyer Are we committed yet? Want to take advantage of paid summer school sessions 1 & 2 before the actual fall academic year starts . Gives one a start on credits w/o the normal pressure of college being in full swing.

Being around this membership growth the last handful of years has been such a fun journey. I love to look back and smile about the early days and those first groups. So many kids that I just loved being in the gym with and miss! #MakeShots

Grinding… With all due respect, getting in the gym is far from grinding. You’re working out. Playing basketball. A game. 70 hour wks to pay mortgage-=grind. 2 jobs to make ends meet=grind. Single parents holding it all together=grind. Proceed to getting better at basketball

Was listening to Coach Kampe on a podcast last night where he was discussing that he's still looking for his starting 4 & 5 for next season. Offered a large sum to 1 player and they turned it down l. Mentioned anyone who is over 6'10" and can walk is asking for $4MM

@buildbball No dribble practices from youth to high school on a routine basis would help clean up a lot of this. Hate seeing players dribble the air out of the ball and go 1 on one over and over. Terrible basketball!!

Learning to play basketball the wrong way early isn’t easily undone. Bad habits become instincts, and instincts show up when the game speeds up. By the time high school arrives, a player with fewer years but better teaching, stronger habits, and real understanding can pass a player who’s been doing it wrong for years. Time in the game matters. But time spent learning the right way matters more.

For the vast majority of prospects this weekend's Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam is SIGNIFICANTLY more important than any "live period." Outside of maybe 20 prospects in Indiana's Class of 2027 playing in front of a TON of Division II, Division III, NAIA, & JUCO coaches is FAR more valuable than traveling outside of the state/region to play in front of, in some cases, no coaches. Run N Slam and Charlie Hughes are where a LOT of evaluations get set for small college coaches across the Midwest. Live periods are fun and the idea of chasing a Division I scholarship is intriguing, but THIS WEEKEND at Run N Slam is going be much more valuable to your realistic recruitment. Make sure you treat this event with the necessary respect and preparation.

No college coach anywhere recruits a player based on how good the parents think they are. The player’s ability has to sell itself

Most highlight tapes are lying. No defense. No decisions. Just clips stitched together hoping nobody notices. A coach knows in 30 seconds if you can help them win. Every play isn’t a highlight. Make them want more. PROFANITY/DISCRAMINATORY LANGUAGE IS A DEAL BREAKER #NewsYouCanUse #ItAintForEverybody #oneeyedscout @mpdconsultingtx
