I supported Trump in '24 as the only viable and legitimate candidate running. Maybe those, like me, who expected him to avoid war, simply got conned. But that's not the only valid hypothesis. The deep state appeared to vehemently oppose Trump. Presumably it had contingency plans
Glenn Greenwald@ggreenwald

You won't hear a better 55-second description of MAGA and Trump than this: in terms of the perspective of any minimally honest MAGA supporter:

@OfficialLoganK I want a thinking voice model, or at least a handsfree UX that will let me talk to a more intelligent LLM. I don't mind waiting longer to get a better response.

Introducing Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, our new realtime model to build voice and vision agents!! We have spent more than a year improving the model + infra + experience, the results? A step function improvement in quality, reliability, and latency.

@nsanityq @SeverusChud Except that the colour of 2pac's skin is highly relevant to his story and life. Snape's whiteness is as irrelevant as the shape of his nose.

I’m sorry, but this is just ridiculous. Race swapping Snape and most of the students, including Hermione, completely kills the immersion in HBO’s Harry Potter show. Snape was written as a thin, greasy haired man with a pale, sneering face. Turning the story into one about racism destroys its internal themes, and ruins the story. This show was over for me the moment it chose tokenism over staying faithful to the books.

@phl43 If you believe Israel perceives Iran as an existential threat then surely their preferences are not that psychotic?

You may complain about it, but this is obviously correct. I think the preferences of Israelis are psychotic, but it's their preferences and, given those preferences, what is bad for other people is good for them. For instance, to the extent that Israeli actions make it harder for Trump to find an off-ramp, this is bad for the US and the rest of the world because it means the economic fallout will be worse, but it's good for Israel because it means that Iran will be wrecked even more. They will also suffer economically but think it's worth it. The only risk for Israel is that, if shit really hit the fan and the war results in a global economic meltdown, a future US administration will prevent them from "mowing the lawn" again to prevent that from happening again, which incidentally gives them even stronger incentives to drag the war out and collapse the regime if they can. There is also a risk that, beyond the question of Israel's freedom of action toward Iran specifically, Americans will get tired of constantly being wrapped up in Israel's affairs and it will destroy the "special relationship", but rightly or wrongly the Israelis assume that it's just a matter of time before this happens anyway.
Rafi DeMogge רפי דמוג@HeTows

This whole talk of an exit strategy is bizarre. Israel perceives Iran as an existential threat. We can’t trigger regime change there, so we need to make it as militarily weak as possible. The longer it takes for them to regenerate, the better. The more economic woes they have, the more constraints they have on the defense budget, the better. So, we wreak havoc on them. Wreaking havoc for three weeks will achieve better results than wreaking havoc for one week, and wreaking havoc for three months achieves more than for three weeks. We keep going until Trump stops us. There is no need for an “exit strategy”.

@davidscottjaffe We should have achieved photorealism in games a long time ago, it's 2026 FFS, and it's about time we had something like this

There is no doubt I come across as mister contrarian. But that's prob because I think most people on gaming twitter are mister performative. I think this shit is cool. NVIDIA has already said if devs want to they can have it so their games don't use it. It's simply another option for devs and- frankly- given how much some people demand bleeding edge visuals- it seems a nice leg up for some AA teams (who have games that are better than AAA but don't have the budget for that visual fidelity).

@KommawarSwapnil What's unbelievable about this is that it just happened to be a Google employee that noticed that the biggest domain in the world was up for sale

In 2015, a former Google employee named Sanmay Ved noticed something shocking! While browsing domains, he saw that Google. com was showing as available to buy. Out of curiosity, he clicked buy. And surprisingly, the purchase actually went through. He bought Google. com for just $12. For a short time, he technically owned one of the most valuable websites in the world. But instead of misusing it, he immediately informed Google's security team about the mistake. Soon after, Google cancelled the transaction and took back the domain. To thank him for reporting the issue honestly, Google gave him a reward of $6,006.13 through their bug bounty program. But Sanmay Ved did something unexpected. Instead of keeping the money, he asked Google to donate it to charity. The donation went to Art of Living Foundation, which runs free schools for poor children in India. Impressed by his honesty, Google doubled the amount to $12,012.26. A small mistake in a system became a big story about honesty!

Not gonna lie, it's kind of crazy that we still have no idea if shipping this would get Claude Code users banned. Having shitty policies is bad enough. Refusing to clarify them is absurd.
Theo - t3.gg@theo

We want to add support for Claude via the Agent SDK so you can bring your subscriptions. We have a PR with the changes ready. We just don't know if we're allowed to ship it. The moment we get a 👍 from @trq212, @bcherny or @DarioAmodei, we will get this shipped.

Yes, that's largely right. Middle East: only Israel has ~90 warheads; no others do (Iran has none assembled yet). Global estimates (FAS/SIPRI, early 2025/2026): Russia ~5,459 total, US ~5,177, China ~600, France 290, UK 225, India ~180, Pakistan 170, Israel 90, NK ~50. Minor variations by source, but spot-on overall.
