@sportsrage WTF we're doing is getting more revenue to support more teams and pay players more money. Or are you against having more teams in the league than just Winnipeg and Saskatchewan?

@FraserPxP Are you saying a play-in game between the Stamps and the Riders would not be worth watching? What Rider fan thinks "hey, I want to watch less of my favourite team!"

@BCLionsDen In all likelihood those same fans reside only in Winnipeg or Saskatchewan and don't consider the realities of every other market in the league.

Fans of the #CFL: "We need to find ways to generate more revenue!!" Also fans of the CFL: "This new playoff format is strictly a cash grab for more revenue!!"

@burnsieoriginal I recall a large number of Canadians in the Niagara region had Sabres season tickets so some of them probably know the song...

lol. Okay there bahd. Regular season games mean nothing. Where’s the motivation to tune in? What happens when someone starts 5-0 and clinches a playoff spot before Canada Day? Fans will get past; by ignoring CFL games and tuning into sports where the games mean something

@johnw_bender It's almost like revenue is why they did it.

@Fan960Logan More playoff games = more revenue, which is what the CFL needs as a gate driven league. It's a business decision.

@bruce_arthur Potential for more playoff revenue, which is key in a gate-driven league. You know, making money? That thing the Star doesn't do?

How in the world does it reward your regular season? The top team has to play the No. 2 team to get a bye!

@itsWozzz Oilers - and any Western team - news frequently gets ignored when it hits the Ontario-Manitoba border because it requires people to stay up past 10 pm.

The Oilers have played 1 good period, 97 has zero points, the PP is 0-6 and the series is still 1-1. It'll be ok.

@TopTierPucks @zach_20007 They talk about the oilers because you keep retweeting and expanding their views. They know you love it.

@NHL_Muse I honestly don't think anyone can correctly evaluate an atmosphere until one actually stands in it. But this is pretty good.
