@OnlyInBOS Becoming an NP is a rigorous educational process. To become an NP, one must be a registered nurse (RN), hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), complete an NP-focused graduate master’s or doctoral nursing program and successfully pass a national NP board certification exam.

I have a momentous announcement to make. Last week as those who follow me know, @ElonMusk extended to me an invitation unlike any other—the opportunity to join him on a pioneering journey to Mars. After deep reflection and discussions with my family, I have made the life-changing decision to leave behind my career and my home planet to embark on this historic mission. 🙌🏻 This endeavor represents the ultimate convergence of my life’s work and the visionary spirit of exploration that has defined my journey in life. The idea of Shatner City on Mars? It would be great. A new frontier, a new beginning—but you know, if we don’t go soon, it may be too late. These things take people, after all. Will there be enough for the launch if Elon keeps firing them? 😱 That is something we shall find out. 🤞🏻😉 For now, there is much to prepare. The countdown is ticking, and the future awaits. My Interplanetary Best,
Bill, Future Citizen of Mars

@Suburbanbella True - but just because a patient requests a physician does not mean they will get one. And they can certainly refuse evaluation by anyone. But there is no “right” to see an MD.

@cmoore433 2)The MSE does not require an MD/DO. However, the MSE does not supersede the patient's right to consent which cannot be revoked simply because it falls under EMTALA. Patients can still request a physician.

@MaaShealth @Suburbanbella All fine, but there is still no “right” to obtain an evaluation by a physician. You can request it, and if you can pay for it you can get one, but the only right to medical care in the US is under EMTALA, which only mandates an MSE, does not specify by whom.

@cmoore433 @Suburbanbella 2/2 Medicare dollars if bots provided the "care", but needs state legislators to approve the practice. Anyone who thinks a medical facility provides substandard care may complain to their state medical board, sue it in court, or ask state legislators to write a better law.

@DGlaucomflecken I am amazed there are people defending the CMGs, particularly those backed by private equity. They are largely illegal under unenforced corporate practice of medicine laws and exist to squeeze every dollar out for investors through surprise billing, cutting salaries and staffing.

@broomedocs @theSonoCave @UltrasoundMD Omg I love this. I have often thought I should have a sign for ultrasound in M&M that I would likely hold up as the case is presented. Learn this tool well and it will save you, and the patient.

My daughter told me she wants a job where she looks inside people’s bodies “and brains and stuff” but not a doctor. I’m thinking this means mortician or serial killer?
