I’ve said it before, I’ll keep saying it, more attention really needs to be paid to the role social stigma/shaming has on a technology’s success or failure. People don’t want to be accused of wearing Meta “Pervert Glasses,” and companies don’t want their names fused with “slop.”

I can’t believe that calling them Microslop actually worked

Is it probably a little blasphemous to give away MLB team branded Pope hats to sell more tickets and more concessions? Sure. Is it fun as hell? Absolutely

Almost 7 years as a lawyer and I’ve figured out that the best cure for imposter syndrome is simply dealing with other lawyers. I mean I’m fucking dumb but some of you mother fuckers barely have a pulse

I’ve noticed how very few other big voices in NFL media have touched the Vrabel/Russini story. If this was a player “off the field” issue, they would be all over it.

"If a guy plays 50 games, 35 minutes a game, that's 50 times 35. That's 1,750, right? And if a guy plays 75 games at 20 minutes, it's 1,500. It's a good view in my opinion to not have a limit. It's one opinion. 75 percent of the games, in my opinion, would be a logical thing. That would be 61.5 games, right? So, 62 games? There are some interesting questions. I don't think there's going to be an exception made for this year. I think it would be somewhat unfair. But we'll see how it turns out."

This has everything from Wemby surveying the media for their opinion on the 65-game rule to him doing math on the fly.

Is there a double standard at play for Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini? Here's an effort to explore that question: nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

"ExCluSiVe"... Uli Hoeneß - “We play this game for our fans. We have 430,000 members and many millions of fans around the world, and it doesn’t help them if we have €200m in the bank but play worse football every Saturday.” Christopher Freund - “We’re not under any pressure [to sell]. We can imagine him playing for Bayern for the next seven, eight, nine years. Michael has a long-term contract, he proved himself and took steps forward.” Karl-Heinz Rummenigge - “Those are rumours that make everyone at the club smile. You know better than anyone how the media carousel works.” Max Eberl - “We have a long-term project. Michael feels very comfortable here. You can see how this team works, and when we play football like this, there’s no chance for anyone [to get him].” It's not an exclusive when Bayern's entire hierarchy has been saying this for months. It just shows that at best, other fans have zero idea how Bayern Munich functions. At worst, it shows that some can't read.

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: Michael Olise will not leave Bayern Munich this summer. Despite strong interest from Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Liverpool, Michael Olise remains fully committed to Bayern. The player is understood to be flattered by the attention from Europe’s elite clubs, but he has no intention of forcing a move. He is grateful for the opportunity Bayern Munich gave him and is determined to honour his contract.
