Some of the largest payments in the world still rely on systems designed for a much smaller version of the economy. Luxury markets expand, and digital capital becomes more global. Now, the time has come for Sergiu to move on, but he will always remain part of the xPortal / MultiversX swat team. Over almost four years, alongside the xPortal team, he made the product sexier, more useful, and more connected, bringing together ecosystems in a way that has elevated the experience, flow and defining moments for millions of users, on MultiversX and 15 other chains and communities. One thing in particular I’ll look fondly on is the repeated drive to Cluj close to midnight, with the two of us sitting and talking long into the night about the next moves, the important and crazy ones, that would make xPortal more useful and more loved by its users.
