Will Bundy wins the Sectional Championship in a MASSIVE PR jump of 14.52m for a NEW IL # 3 Qualifying for the State Championships at Eastern Illinois Next Weekend! Anthony Edison takes 3rd and does just enough to get through after the Long Jump. He still remains IL # 1 (14.60m)

Blake Bundy takes 2nd in the Pole Vault in 3.74m, Qualifying for the State Championships at Eastern Illinois Next Weekend ! This is the first time an athlete has qualified in the Pole Vault for H-F in over 20 Years and Bundy is only a Freshmen! Cesar Evans ties for 3rd !

I’m still without words that @BlakeBundy2029 as a freshman and first year pole vaulter has qualified for State. He is studying the sport and putting in all the work. @powerthrew and I are so impressed. Congratulations son!

STATE BOUND! @willBundy_91 has been struggling with a hamstring injury but he’s a fighter. Pushed through sectionals and with a PR of 14.52m. Prayerfully he’s able to heal even more over this week before state. Congrats son. We couldn’t be prouder.

Parents are so consumed with their child’s happiness and not allowing them to have accountability. In turn, they are robbing them of one of the greatest lessons and joys, OVERCOMING!

3 track meets this week, between us coaching and the boys. We culminated it with Justin’s first sectional. As exhausting as it’s been, peaks of excitement come thru. @BlakeBundy2029 has fallen in love with photography and took this amazing shot of his little brother.

The month of May is exhausting when you’re a parent.

In her 2nd horizontal jump of the day, @JanellRob2027 punches her state ticket in the Triple Jump. Fouled a big one but goal was accomplished. Congrats!

I’m always impressed with @KhloeADaniels! Her directive: qualify on the first jump so she can concentrate on her other events. She did just that, but didn’t like the jump so she took one more. That jump cemented her Sectional Champ title. Congrats!

Big jumps have been on the horizon for @JanellRob2027 and she hit it at the perfect time, sectionals. Congrats on your 18 footer and punching your ticket to state. You’re not close to your ceiling.

Directives: get on the board and you’ll qualify. Not only did @Ljarrett2027 do that, she jumps a monster 5.83m with inches left on the board. She’s primed and ready for State! Congrats!
