Since it's clear you've never served, and especially never been part of a training failure circuit, you are talking out of your ass. The point isn't rep form, the training is meant to hone mental and physical resilience. Pushing 40 reps is very taxing on your muscles, and on your central nervous system. The training is meant to teach you to push through that. If the training was meant to increase strength, he would lift heavy, proper form, long rest periods. This is quick circuits, light weight, and after a run.
