There is a real structural problem with this Rangers offense and the numbers make it impossible to ignore. We rank 29th in walks and 25th in OBP. Dead last is the only thing separating us from the bottom of baseball in patience. And yet we're 6th in home runs and 7th in slugging. This lineup is essentially a one-engine plane. When the long ball is flying, we look elite. When it's not, there's nothing else to fall back on. The run total tells the whole story. We're struggling to score runs despite our power output. That disconnect happens when nobody is on base when the big hits land. Walks load the bases. Walks extend innings. Walks force pitch counts up. We're not doing any of that. We're swinging for the fences from the jump and hoping enough of them leave the yard. Look at the contact quality and you can see the potential is real. Seager is barreling 18.2% of his batted balls. Jake Burger is at 11.1% barrel rate. McCutchen has a 15.4% barrel rate. This lineup can absolutely punish mistakes. But punishing mistakes requires hitters to work counts, draw walks, and put runners on base for the big boys to drive in. We're skipping that step almost entirely. The Astros just showed us the blueprint. That lineup grinds pitchers, works counts, and manufactures runs even when the home runs aren't coming. We can't do that right now. I'm genuinely worried this is the same team we watched last year. Elite rotation, real power in the lineup, and an offense that goes completely dark the moment the home runs stop falling. The pitching is good enough to keep us afloat in April. Over a full season against playoff-caliber arms, that's a recipe for a lot of quiet losses.

@_alanstewart @Serrano_Sports You watched your favorite team; that would probably be only way I would attend. I went to Butler v Duke years ago and could not see and I honestly didn’t care who won ; maybe they adjusted the configurations since then . I was at NBA finals and know I had a better view

@coachprich @Serrano_Sports An update: you could follow the game just like any in any other arena. Only watched the screens for replays. Wide-angle photos made it look far worse than it was.

@MrDanielBuck They can cuss out staff and peers all day , not follow rules , get special rules for them and many times the kid with behavior problems is placed in resource class with kids that have major learning disabilities , autism , and mild mental disabilities who need silence to learn

@MrDanielBuck You should see how hard it can be working with students who have serious behavior issues—especially in special education. Many districts won’t place them in alternative or behavior programs unless the situation escalates like bringing a weapon, assaulting staff, or dealing drugs.

The Big Ten Conference drought in college 🏀 is over— how can you not be happy for Dusty May and Michigan Wolverines fans? Curt Cignetti and Dusty May, may have just raised the bar everywhere; making coaching jobs tougher when it comes to delivering a championship turnaround.
