@JohnCarrier42 Force overs - under = re-screen. screener is "touch & go", don't get stuck in the traffic. Feet - don't care how- roll or pop to space ASAP. Reject it approx... 33%.. but just take what the defense gives you. Attack it! Goal is 2 on the ball or mismatch.. Then it's decisions.

Ball Screen Coaches: If you were taking over a new high school program and teaching a ball screen heavy offense, what would your progression and teaching points be?

@JohnCarrier42 In 4out spacing we're off the 1st hash above the block. Leaves a little more room for push/pull, finding windows. When the ball is attacking we're locked to the 3pt line. When the the ball is stopped (dead) or the attack is leveled off we look for "dead cuts", cuts to the rim.

Hot Take: I often see drive/space coaches who are adamant about staying deep corner. Holding the corner on the drive as a hard and fast rule isn't effective because in reality you end up with guys hiding behind the defense at tomes. Have to move to find passable windows.

@Antonio_savonac @transformbball Their ideas? I have seen little that's actually *new*.. All coaches steal from others & tweak the idea & language to fit their own situations. Most own that! This guy takes from others & claims re-inventing the game while demeaning those from that they've taken from.. Ugly stuff!

Welcome to reality. CLA is ok. Differential learning is ok. Repetition without repetition is ok. @transformbball is not ok. You can find all their ideas if you have studied a little… And they demonize, exaggerate and mock some coaches’ drills and plays that really work.

@JohnCarrier42 I think it's possible that raw athletic traits carry more weight and have a greater impact on the perimeter.. Watching a fair amount of Euroleague the difference in athleticism from American guards is noticeable, and those aren't even the top athletes (those dudes are in the NBA)

I think other countries also do a great job of development but the one question that always lingers for me is: if other countries are better at development how is it that American guards are much more prevalent in the NBA AND the Euroleague?

We use "RBA".. Rim, ball, arc.. We've done different things over the years, designated get backs, above FT line extended, etc... Lots of ways to do it.. Consistently win the first three seconds on a change of possession and you'll be OK in transition regardless of scheme..

@3YearLetterman are you visiting Kenai, Alaska? I coach the local high school basketball team. If you're in town, would you be willing to share what it takes to become champions with them?

This has a chance to be a fun league! I just hope the PAC makes smart decisions going forward.. Geography matters.. Get Cal and Stanford over the next few years? UNLV when it gets out of debt? New Mexico if they commit to spending more? Nothing dumb like UConn! Cool league!
