@platysaur In my opinion it is a stain on that game that is why I don't continue it. Using this technology at all is giving ground to a massively destructive force that ruins our world, our society, and just steals things.

I'm going to risk the ire of a lot of people and point out that Expedition 33 used GenAI in parts of development (art placeholder textures, at least from what we know) and no one made a stink about it. We can't be anti-AI but selective about who gets the heat for it.

Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI. We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more: gamespot.com/articles/baldu… We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

@ayi_sanchez @mattworkman Hey Ayi - could we maybe get a better version of the disclosure asking people how they are doing it? Right now there's huge gaps and we've seen multiple devs fail to disclose their usage.

@mattworkman This is like saying food products shouldn't have their ingredients list. Consumers should have the information to decide if they want to buy something or not depending on its content. The only ppl afraid of this are the ones that know their product is low effort.

Steam and all digital marketplaces need to drop the “Made with AI” label. It doesn’t matter any more.

An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America. ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations.
