Eastern Cape Serious and Violent Crime Investigation detectives are appealing for public assistance to locate Lukhanyo Mekula, a person of interest linked to a mass shooting in Wells Estate, Gqeberha. The shooting, which occurred on 26 April 2026, left three people dead and six others seriously injured. The wounded victims remain in hospital receiving treatment.
